NET TRUST RATINGS NINA PBBM, VP SARA

Bumaba sa -3 ang net trust rating ni Pres. Bongbong Marcos noong Nobyembre, base sa latest survey ng Social Weather Stations (SWS) noong Nobyembre.

Hindi ito ang unang pagkakataong nagnegatibo ang net trust rating ng Pangulo. Nangyari na rin ito noong Marso, Abril, at Mayo, sa kasagsagan ng kampanya para sa 2025 elections.

Umakyat naman sa +31 ang net trust rating ni Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.

Isinagawa ang survey noong Nov. 24-30 sa pamamagitan ng face-to-face interviews sa 1,200 respondents.

Ayon sa Stratbase Consultancy, ang nagkomisyon sa survey, nakaapekto sa sentimyento ng publiko ang pagpapanagot sa public officials kaugnay ng flood control scandal.

"Filipinos are clearly connecting corruption to governance failure and to the real human costs experienced during repeated flooding," ayon kay Stratbase Institute President Dindo Manhit.

Kasunod ito ng natuklasan ng Office of the Ombudsman na mayroong ₱100 milyong proyekto sa Davao Occidental na hindi kailanman nasimulan ngunit idineklarang tapos ng naturang kontratista.

“Umpisa pa lang po ito. Marami pa tayong ipakukulong at marami pang magpapasko sa kulungan,” ayon sa Pangulo.

Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte has declined an invitation from the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) to appear in its probe into the city’s flood control projects, saying the body has no jurisdiction over members of Congress and calling the request political harassment.

The Ombudsman has filed malversation and corruption charges against contractors Cezarah Discaya and Maria Roma Angeline Rimando of St. Timothy Construction, and Department of Public Works and Highways-Davao Occidental officials over a P96.5-million ghost flood control project in the province.

Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano said the charges were filed before the Digos Regional Trial Court at 2:15 p.m. on Friday.

The charges against them are the second set filed against those involved in the massive flood control corruption scandal since President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. raised the controversy in his State of the Nation Address in July.
