Being a cancer doctor may sound depressing at first thought, but we do have a lot of moments that spell WINS for us, fulfill us, and most of all, get us through each gruelling day.

Lined up for about 30 minutes to pay for two pieces of bread today.
Such a feat, because I am not really a bread person, but I decided to have bread as afternoon snack.
So, agwanta! πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

My second read for 2026.

This book has been sitting in my digital library since 2023, but because life happened, I only got around to reading it recently. As you all know, I had just recovered emotionally from reading The Kite Runner β€” and now, this.

It’s such a gripping read that it keeps you glued to the pages without even realizing it. I finished it in less than a week, which is quite a feat for me considering I have to juggle fellowship training, leisure reading, sorting out laundry, washing the dishes, and daydreaming and staring into nothingness.

All I can say is this: after reading the final page and closing the book, I found myself in a trance, needing a few moments to process everything.

Great work, Alex Michaelides. Not bad at all for a debut novel. I only hope his succeeding works either match this masterpiece β€” or surpass it.
