“So they're letting Kilynn come home today with medication and tons of appointments. She still has infection and since she has that, that want to hold off on the surgery. She is exhausted, still nauseous. But thankful we can finally come home. She still has a long road ahead of her, lots of appointments but she can come home.

First appointment is Monday. Thank you all for your love and support through this time and going forward. I really appreciate all the visits, gifts and cards that were sent. It really made Kilynns heart melt.

Please continue to pray for Kilynn, as this is just a start to a long journey for her.”

Kilynn Hayes, who is one of my mentees and my little sister, is in the hospital and her family needs financial assistance!

From her mother, Kara Rae Hayes:

“Kilynn was admitted into Nationwide Children's on Sunday May 12. She was diagnosed with a stomach virus on May 4th and was told to let it run its course. Here we are now. Kilynn has inflammation in her chest and her thyroid is inflamed with nodules, and a cyst on her kidneys. All COVID tests and flu type tests have all come back negative. She has blood in her urine, and is still having severe chest pains, nausea, vomiting, and high fevers.
We are going to be here for a week, at least. I’ve been trying to keep things normal for Kaison, her brother, as normal as I can make it.

I hate asking for help. I really do. I've missed 7 days of work, Dave, husband, has missed 2. All unpaid. I am setting up to get FMLA started, but that takes time. Waiting on paperwork to return and be submitted. Bills are coming in and I have an insurance deductible of 3,500. That needs to be met before insurance starts paying.
