Phinma Foundation, Inc. (PFI) Executive Director Ron Ranier Reyes was a speaker and judge at the 1st Naga City Mayoral Hackathon where he discussed digital innovation in the social services sector—drawing from PFI's initiatives that aim to empower the underserved. The 3-day event gathered Filipino innovators seeking to co-create digital solutions for public service.

As the country commemorates the 40th anniversary of EDSA People Power I, Roundtable for Inclusive Development Co-Convenor and PHINMA Corp. Chairman and CEO Ramon R. del Rosario Jr. reminds that preserving democracy involves all of us putting in the work every day.

Each one of us is responsible for ensuring better governance for our country and uplifting the lives of our fellow countrymen, PHINMA Corp. Chairman and CEO Ramon R. del Rosario, Jr. said during his interview with Radyo Veritas last Feb. 6. This entails being informed of national issues to better understand our role in addressing them, he added.

PHINMA Hospitality and Damosa Land Inc. (DLI) broke ground last Jan. 29 on TRYP by Wyndham Samal, the Philippines' first-ever TRYP condotel. The Samal Island development marks the PHINMA Group's entry into the condotel market and is also the second TRYP by Wyndham in the country after our Mall of Asia Complex hotel.

PHINMA holds the master franchise of Microtel by Wyndham and TRYP by Wyndham in the Philippines. TRYP Samal is third partnership between PHINMA Hospitality and DLI after the Microtel by Wyndham Davao and General Santos hotels.

Speaking before participants of the 25th Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition (ICFC), PHINMA Corp. CFO and FINEX Foundation Chairman EJ A. Qua Hiansen reminded students that knowledge and expertise must be used in and championing integrity, fairness, and inclusivity in the industry. He also called on future finance professionals to always center people and impact in the work they will do.

The ICFC is the country's premier academic competition for finance, business, and economics college students and is organized by FINEX Foundation's Junior FINEX Committee. Over a hundred schools participated this year including PHINMA-Araullo University, PHINMA-Cagayan de Oro College, and PHINMA-University of Pangasinan which was among the Top 20 finalists.
