𝐁𝐑𝐏 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠

On 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 was conducted for 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. The session aimed to equip parish volunteers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively facilitate book reading sessions for children in their community.

The training was facilitated by three 𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐒𝐫. 𝐌𝐚. 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐚 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐒𝐃𝐒, 𝐒𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰, 𝐒𝐃𝐒, and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐧 𝐅. 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨, 𝐑𝐒𝐖 together with 𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬.

𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐮-𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐨 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫: “𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲” 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

On 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, Ms. Mary Ann F. Bernardo, RSW, SPCC-NCR Social Worker, together with Sr. Anita Andrew, SDS, facilitated fun games during the 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐮-𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐨 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫: “𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲” 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡. The activity gathered families and parishioners in a joyful and meaningful celebration aimed at strengthening family bonds, fostering community spirit, and promoting togetherness among participants.

Through engaging and interactive games, participants were encouraged to actively participate, collaborate, and enjoy shared moments of fun and connection. The facilitation contributed to creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere that highlighted the importance of family unity, cooperation, and positive relationships within the community.

𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 (𝐌𝐒) 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞)

On 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑 hosted the 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 activity as part of the 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 (𝐌𝐒) 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 program. The activity provided participants with the opportunity to engage directly with community settings and gain a deeper understanding of the realities, strengths, and challenges faced by children, families, and vulnerable groups at the grassroots level.

During the activity, SPCC-NCR allowed the participants to facilitate 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 (𝐌𝐇𝐏𝐒𝐒𝐂) sessions for the children of 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟎𝟏, 𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧, 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨, 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚. The sessions provided a safe and supportive space for children to express themselves through interactive activities that promote emotional well-being, resilience, and spiritual nurturing.

𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑 𝐱 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 (𝐌𝐒) 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

From 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟗–𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, Kathrine Alejo, RSW, Social Worker of SPCC-NCR, together with 𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑'𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬; Erine Julieanne De Jesus, Hanna Ulit, and Cyrus Manzanilla, participated in the 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 (𝐌𝐒) 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. The six-day learning program provided participants with opportunities to deepen their understanding of human rights, youth participation, leadership, and community engagement through interactive discussions, workshops, and experiential learning activities.

𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑 𝐌𝐢𝐝-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

On 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑 conducted its 𝙈𝙞𝙙-𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙀𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 to assess the progress of program implementation during the 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 (𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲–𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔). The activity provided an opportunity for staff members to review completed activities, celebrate significant accomplishments, identify challenges encountered, and reflect on lessons learned in implementing programs and services for children, families, and vulnerable communities.

Facilitated by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐢𝐳, the evaluation featured collaborative discussions, reflective sessions, and team presentations that encouraged active participation and knowledge sharing among staff. The process enabled the organization to assess its performance against planned objectives and targets, ensuring that ongoing initiatives remained aligned with SPCC’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.

𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑'𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

On 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧–𝐍𝐂𝐑 (𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑) conducted its 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 at the 𝐒𝐭. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞, facilitated by 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐒. 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨. The recollection provided an opportunity for staff to pause from their daily responsibilities, reflect on their personal and professional journeys, and renew their commitment to the mission of serving children, families, and vulnerable sectors.

During the recollection, Rev. Fr. W***y S. Benito reflected on the significance of Pentecost, particularly the symbol of the 𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚 that descended upon the Apostles. These tongues of fire represented the 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭, empowering the disciples with courage, wisdom, and zeal to proclaim God's message. Participants were invited to reflect on how the Holy Spirit continues to guide and strengthen them in their mission of serving children, families, and vulnerable communities.

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

On 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑 in partnership with 𝐑𝐂𝐀𝐌-𝐎𝐏𝐌𝐕𝐀 successfully conducted the 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 with the theme, “𝙏𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧: 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙖 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙋𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙡, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙-𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮.” The event brought together children from different parishes within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila to celebrate their talents, share their experiences, and strengthen their role as active members of their communities.

Participants attended interactive workshops designed around the key topics and issues identified during the Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) conducted with children from various parishes. These sessions provided a safe and engaging space for children to express their thoughts, learn about their rights and responsibilities, and discuss issues affecting their well-being and development.

The 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 also emphasized the importance of child participation, protection, and empowerment in building safe and nurturing environments. Through meaningful discussions, collaborative activities, and creative expression, the event encouraged children to become advocates for positive change and to contribute to the development of loving, peaceful, and child-friendly communities.

On 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟏:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌 𝐭𝐨 𝟑:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌, the BRP children from 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 held their 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐁𝐑𝐏) 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲.

The culmination program served as a platform to showcase the talents and skills of the children and parish volunteers. It was also an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the efforts and participation of the children who attended the BRP sessions, as well as the dedication of the parish volunteers who supported the program.

𝘿𝙖𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙨, 𝘾𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙚

On 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐒𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑 conducted a Formation Talk at 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 on the topic “𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘽𝙚𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣.” The session was facilitated by Janalyn F. Palomique, RSW, MMPA (SPCC-NCR Program Director) and Kathrine Alejo, RSW (SPCC-NCR Formation Coordinator). The activity was attended by youth and adult volunteers who actively participated in the discussions and learning exercises.

The formation aimed to increase awareness of child protection, personal safety, and the importance of creating safe environments for children within families, schools, communities, and church settings. Through interactive discussions, practical examples, and sharing of experiences, participants gained a deeper understanding of recognizing potential risks, responding appropriately to concerns, and promoting protective behaviors among children. The facilitators also emphasized the shared responsibility of adults and young leaders in safeguarding children's welfare and upholding their rights. The activity concluded with a commitment from the participants to apply the knowledge gained and to serve as advocates for child protection within their respective communities.
