Storms of Sorrow
✍️Cashmill VielKiasfer R. Salazar

The sky is getting dark, and raindrops start falling on rooftops. Everyone knows what this means, Typhoon Uwan is coming. It's strong winds and heavy rain will test how ready we are, but it is also a reminder to take care of our homes and loved ones.

Families are closing windows, gathering emergency supplies, and making sure food and water are ready. Children watch as their parents move quickly, tying down loose items and checking their homes. Every small task now feels very important as the storm gets closer.

Local officials continue to give updates, telling people to be careful and stay inside. Schools may close, and it is safer to stay at home until the storm is over. These warnings remind everyone that preparation can save lives.

Markets are busier than usual as people buy rice, canned goods, water, and flashlights. Families are making sure they have everything they need. Life may slow down during the storm, but being safe comes first.

Even with the storm coming, there is kindness in the community. Neighbors check on each other, share food, and help those who need to leave their homes. Uwan may bring rain, but it also gives a chance to show care. Small acts, like sharing snacks, make a big difference.

During the storm, families spend time together. They talk, laugh, and share memories. These moments help everyone feel closer and stronger, reminding us that being together is very important.

As Typhoon Uwan gets closer, everyone is reminded: stay safe, listen to officials, and help each other. Together, we can face the storm and wait for the sun to come out again. Even when the rain is heavy, hope and care stay strong.

When the storm passes, puddles and broken branches will show the power of Uwan but the real story is in the small acts of courage and kindness . Typhoon Uwan may leave rain and wind, but it also leaves a reminder: being ready and caring for one another can get us through any storm.

Handa sa Unos
✍️ Mhylie Madriaga

At siyempre, laging may handang go bag na may tubig, pagkain, flashlight, gamot, at mahahalagang dokumento.
