๐ฅ Beyond the Game: Prioritizing Health & Safety! ๐ฅ
On April 14, 2026, DLL successfully conducted a Continuous Education Seminar: Beyond the Game in preparation for the upcoming Intramurals. The seminar was spearheaded by our DLL Clinic nurses, Nurse Ronabelle Reyes and Nurse Angelo Cabaluna, focusing on the importance of athletesโ health, safety, and overall well-being beyond competition.
ERT Members gained valuable insights on common conditions experienced by players such as muscle cramps, dehydration, fatigue, sprains, and heat exhaustion, as well as common sports injuries like strains, ligament tears, ankle sprains, knee injuries, and minor fractures, along with proper first aid and prevention techniques to ensure safer gameplay.
On the same day, an election for the new set of officers for the upcoming semester was also successfully conducted, marking a new chapter of leadership and service in fostering a more active and health-conscious community.
This initiative highlights DLLโs commitment to preparing students not just for the game, but for their safety and wellness at all times.

Learning to Stay Safe:
DLL's Earthquake Drill & Fire Simulation! ๐ฅ
On March 17, 2026, DLL hosted an 1st Quarter Earthquake Drill and Fire Simulation, spearheaded by Safety Officer Doc. Ronald Macinas (on behalf of our School President and collaboration with OSAS, the Faculty, and the BFP). Our DLL Emergency Response Team (ERT) played a pivotal role, managing and assisting throughout the event, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. Our students were actively engaged, practicing essential earthquake safety procedures and gaining hands-on experience in fire suppression led by the BFP. These simulations, powered by our dedicated ERT, are key to our ongoing commitment to a safe and secure learning environment.

On September 23, 2025, the DLL Emergency Response Team conducted an Earthquake Drill with the LCDRRMO observing the activity. ๐
During the drill, students and staff performed the โDuck, Cover, and Holdโ technique, followed by proper evacuation procedures and an organized assembly at the designated area. ๐ซ๐จ
To make the simulation more realistic, โvictimsโ were assigned in each building for the rescue teams to locate, assess, and provide immediate first aid. This tested not only preparedness but also the efficiency and teamwork of the responders. ๐งโโ๏ธโ๏ธ
This activity aimed to strengthen disaster readiness, promote safety awareness, and build discipline during earthquake emergencies. ๐ซฑ๐ซฒ
