Daop
Spreading awareness through intervention and testing
01/04/2023
The staff of DAOP is much grateful for the immense participation and involvement during the seminar “STDs and Treatment Strategies: Spreading Awareness through Intervention and Testing in the Face of Discrimination.” We managed to fill the venue, incredibly fulfilling our aspiration of tackling the issue. DAOP had achieved its most significant goal, to destigmatize HIV vis-a-vis the screening and counseling.
To our resource speaker, Mr. Russell Elloso, your expertise as an HIV Case Manager and DOH Counselor took the discussion about STDs and treatment strategies to a higher level. We would like to thank you for all the learnings.
To our partner agencies, QMC and QMC - Live Positive Wellness Hub, SLSU College of Allied Medicine, UHS-University Clinic, SLSU College of Arts and Sciences, Lucban and Tayabas Municipal Mayor, Vice-Mayor, Councilor, and COngressman, the Provincial Capitol Governor, and PGO, Pepe n Mary’s, Erwings, Carlos Super-drug, Yelo Lane, lastly, to our private sponsors, CATV Mauban and UP Prime, we wouldn’t be able to proceed without your assistance.
To the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Prof. Shiela Manzanilla, and to the former Program Chairperson of the College of Arts and Sciences, Prof. Brian Villaverde, thank you very much for your guidance.
To the College of Allied Medicine students and our very own College of Arts and Sciences, thank you very much for attending our webinar. We are grateful that you have entirely accepted our challenge to destigmatize HIV. And to Mrs. Noreen Echague, thank you for attending our webinar.
Lastly, to the current Program Chairperson of the College of Arts and Sciences and our COM07 Instructor, Prof. Khristalyn Fraginal, we would like to express our gratitude for your patience, understanding, and unending guidance. DAOP could start, continue, and finish the seminar because of you.
DAOP is now signing off gratefully.
Until next time… talk, test, & treat will be back!
