What may seem like a harmless cigarette butt can become a serious fire hazard when carelessly thrown onto dry leaves, grass, and other combustible materials. A small ember can smolder unnoticed and eventually ignite surrounding vegetation, especially during hot and dry conditions. 🔥

The activity aimed to keep personnel physically active and prepared for the demands of firefighting and emergency response. Through warm-up exercises, stretching, push-ups, sit-ups, and equipment-based workouts, personnel worked on improving their strength, endurance, flexibility, and overall fitness. More than just physical training, the activity also helped promote discipline, teamwork, and readiness among all fire station personnel.

In support of 𝐎𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐲𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧: 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧, Loon Fire Station OLP Team spearheaded by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟑 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐑 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐫., 𝐂𝐄, 𝐌𝐏𝐀, Officer-In-Charge, under the supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐀𝐔𝐋 𝐆 𝐁𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐈Ñ𝐎, 𝐉𝐃, 𝐃𝐏𝐀, Bohol Provincial Fire Marshal, and through the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐅𝐎 𝐏 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐀, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 of BFP Central Visayas, conducted an Emergency Response Plan for Business (ERPB) Formulation and Talakayan at Damayang Pangkabuhayan at RGM Food House, AG Food Store, Anabelle Castañares Store, Princess Iyana Sari-Sari Store and Loon Native Store, Moto Norte, Loon, Bohol.

The activity aims to strengthen the preparedness of business establishments by guiding them in the development of their Emergency Response Plan, ensuring that owners and employees are equipped with the proper knowledge and skills on fire prevention and emergency response. The discussion also included a demonstration on the proper use of fire extinguishers and practical safety tips to help prevent fire incidents in the workplace.

Through initiatives like this, the Bureau of Fire Protection continues to empower the community and business sector in building a safer and more fire-resilient environment.

Volunteers from the LGU Loon, barangay officials, various organizations, and dedicated volunteers came together to clear shores and protect the marine home.

The activity served not only as a hands-on effort to clear the coastlines of waste but also as an advocacy for responsible consumption and collective action toward protecting marine and coastal ecosystems.

This annual initiative calls on the Loon community to go beyond the clean-up and continue making informed, sustainable choices in managing waste.

Through every piece of waste collected and every step taken toward a cleaner coastline, we are reminded that environmental protection begins with our own actions, and that small efforts, when united, can create meaningful change for our oceans and our future.

The continuous conduct of refresher trainings and drills highlights the station’s commitment to maintaining operational readiness, teamwork, and professionalism in the performance of duty, in line with the Bureau of Fire Protection’s mission of protecting lives and properties.
