PPCโs School of Local Governance with the PPC Community and Extension Services Office, officially launched Project ALIGUAS (Advancing Leadership for Inclusive Governance through Unity, Accountability, and Service) in Brgy. Sabangan, Lingayen, Pangasinan.
The project is designed to strengthen the leadership capacities of barangay officials through responsive and needs-based training. The inaugural training sessions and workshops covered financial management and resource utilization, occupational safety and health, and ethical leadership. These sessions highlighted the importance of transparency in the use of public funds, the promotion of a safe environment for workers and residents, and the reminder that integrity and honesty are the foundations of public trust.
Barangay officials of Sabangan, led by Barangay Captain Romeo Manuel Jr., formally expressed their commitment to the principles of good governance through a ceremonial pledge signing. This pilot implementation of Project ALIGUAS is expected to pave the way for a sustained partnership, highlighting the collegeโs role in supporting community development and promoting sustainable progress.

The Multimedia Arts program culminated in an exhibit organized by the PPC School of Creativity and Design, showcasing various media artworks created by Bachelor of Multimedia Arts students. The exhibit featured photo displays, mock food, and film viewings. The diverse range of works displayed demonstrated the studentsโ ability to tackle different mediums, showcasing their versatility and developing readiness for the creative industries.

The PPC School of Creativity and Design proudly presents the Multimedia Arts Culminating Activity on 11 December 2025. The event features an Art Exhibit, Photo Exhibit, and Film Viewing, all highlighting the creativity and talent of PPC Bachelor of Multimedia Arts students. Each display showcases their journey in visual storytelling and multimedia production. Everyone is welcome to see and celebrate their works.

Students of Pangasinan Studies (IC 1) explored Bolinaoโs rich heritage and culture through an educational field visit. The activity allowed them to learn about traditional solar salt-making, understand the importance of mangroves and environmental conservation, and the history of two of the townโs significant heritage sites. The visit encouraged PPC students to appreciate and discover more of the provinceโs cultural treasures.
The itinerary for the educational visit covered the Pangasinan Salt Center, St. James Parish Church, Pangasinan Mangrove Ecopark, and the Bolinao Lighthouse.

Faculty members from PPCโs School of Local Governance presented their respective studies on Public Administration and Governance at the recently concluded Association of Schools of Public Administration in the Philippines (ASPAP) International Conference and General Assembly, held on 25โ28 November 2025 at Mindanao State UniversityโIligan Institute of Technology.
Centered on the crucial intersection of peace, development, and public administration, the conference featured a series of masterclasses and plenary sessions attended by national and international Public Administration institutions. Aligned with these discussions, Asst. Prof. Menard P. Nava, Mr. Kenneth Rhey G. Nimedez, and Mr. Joshua Kyle A. Petete shared their respective studies focusing on global-local dynamics in Public Administration, occupational safety and health, and balanced tourism and community well-being.
The PPC School of Local Governance also formalized their membership to ASPAP that opens opportunities for the collegeโs advancement in public administration.

Dr. Benjamin W.L. Derhy, French sociologist of cultural industries and Executive Director of University Research School "Humanities, Creation, Heritage" of the CY Cergy Paris Universitรฉ, delivered a lecture titled โRethinking Heritage and Tourism in the Context of Social and Environmental Transformationโ to PPC personnel, students, and tourism offices. He explored how cultural heritage and tourism intersect with social and environmental changes, and presented examples that highlight the need for sustainable practices, community engagement, and creative strategies to preserve heritage while promoting economic and social development.
He was accompanied by UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines Secretary-General Prof. Ivan Anthony Henares, PhD, who joined the PPC community in this meaningful discussion.
