A successful Community-Based Sustainable Tourism Orientation and Skills Enhancement Program for the Barangay Cabunlawan Weavers was conducted on March 7-9, 2026, following the request of the Municipal Tourism Office through the Palawan Provincial Tourism Office.

This initiative aims to strengthen the skills of our local weavers and further promote Community-Based Sustainable Tourism in Linapacan. 🌿

Our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Maribel Rodriguez Abrera, President of Bambuhay Handicraft, for generously sharing her knowledge and expertise as the trainer of the program. Your guidance truly inspired and empowered byour weavers.

Special thanks to Ms. Jennifer Socrates and Ms. Diane Gatchalian of the Palawan Provincial Tourism Office for the their invaluable support, assistance, and guidance in helping establish the Cabunlawan Weavers. Their dedication and commitment greatly contributed to the realization and development of this community initiative.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the very accommodating and hands-on Punong Barangay Isidro Zumaraga Daganta for the warm support and assistance throughout the training.

Special thanks as well to Mayor Emil T. Neri for his unwavering commitment and continuous support, providing the highest level of encouragement and assistance to the development of Tourism in Linapacan.
