By virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A, the month of March was declared as Fire Prevention Month because of the alarming increase of fire incidents happening across the country during this particular period.

The Bureau of Fire Protection, as the government agency mandated to prevent and suppress all kinds of destructive fires, investigate its causes, enforce fire-related laws and provide emergency medical and rescue services, shall anchor all the activities for the Fire Prevention Month towards fire safety at home by introducing innovative programs and activities leading towards motivating the public to take fire safety as everyone’s concern.

This year’s theme is “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi Ka Nag-iisa,” highlights the significance of unity and cooperation in ensuring fire-safe and disaster – resilient communities.

With these, thru the guidance of our Municipal Mayor, Procopio V. Chang, we are pleased to invite you to take part in the Fire Prevention Month Kick-Off Motorcade scheduled on March 3, 2026, with a call time of 6:00 AM at the Kauswagan Fire Station.
The motorcade will traverse the strategic roads and thoroughfares of Kauswagan and Linamon, aiming to further intensify public awareness and demonstrate strong inter-LGU and multi-sectoral support for fire safety and prevention initiatives.

The personnel of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Linamon under the leadership of MDRRMC Chairperson, Hon. Procopio Chang, conducted the installation of early warning signages to the 8 barangays of Linamon from January 13-15 and 19-22, 2026.

Early warnings aimed at providing advance notice of hazards to empower communities to take immediate action, a life-saving action before a disaster strikes.

The members of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council convened for the fourth (4th) Quarter Council meeting today, Tuesday, December 23, 2025 presided by the MDRRMC Chairperson, Hon. Procopio Chang.
The meeting also highlight the turnover of Radio base to all barangay council and selected MDRRMC Members, turnover of RV Stretchers to Brgy Napo and Brgy Robocon, turnover of EWS to BDRRMC and the distribution of MDRRMC Members Vest.
