The 18th Diocesan Convention of the Diocese of Libertad, held last February 13–14, served as a vital crossroads for the future of our Church. Central to the success of this gathering were the intensive Sectoral Meetings, where our various organizations met in the spirit of synodality to discern, deliberate, and decide the path forward.
From evaluating past achievements to mapping out transformative programs and activities, each sector demonstrated a profound commitment to the growth and sustainability of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente.

🏛️ Strengthening Our Foundations
We honor the dedicated work of each sector during their respective sessions:
* 𝙔𝙄𝙁𝙄 (Youth of IFI): Empowering the next generation of leaders with vibrant energy and innovative vision.
* 𝙒𝙊𝙋𝙄𝘾 (Women of PIC): Sustaining the life of the Church through dedicated service and spiritual stewardship.
* 𝙇𝙄𝙁𝙄 (Laymen of IFI): Strengthening the backbone of our parishes through active lay participation and mission.
* 𝘾𝘾𝙊 & 𝘾𝙎𝙊 (Clergy Children & Spouses): Nurturing the families that support our ministers, ensuring a community of mutual care.
* 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙨 / 𝙉𝙋𝙊 (National Priest Organization): Providing the pastoral guidance and theological leadership necessary for our diocesan journey.

A pivotal highlight of these meetings was the election of a new set of officers. We congratulate the newly elected leaders who have stepped forward to shepherd their respective sectors into this next chapter of ministry.

"𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶,” 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, “𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦." — 𝘑𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘢𝘩 29:11

As we move forward with fresh leadership and revitalized programs, we remain steadfast in our collective mission to serve God and the people.

"17th Diocesan Thanksgiving Day & Choral Festival"

The Diocese of Libertad celebrates her 17th Anniversary of being a strong, active and progressive local Church of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente that is working harmoniously with other faiths, denominations and organizations while living out the teachings of Jesus Christ on love, truth, justice, peace and liberty; that is journeying with the common people in pursuing their hopes for abundant life for all the reign of God on earth.
And continually living her Mission of establishing a local church where its members are active and are living in accord to the basic teachings, principles, discipline and worship of the Pro-Deo et Patria faith and heritage of the IFI.

History:
Originally, Libertad Diocese was part of Misamis Oriental Bukidnon and Camiguin (MOBUCA) but on September 21, 2008 Libertad became a Diocese (dungan sa pagkahimugso sa Pagadian Diocese) as agreed by the Supreme Council of Bishops (SCB) gilangkuban kini sa tanang mga Obispo sa atong Simbahan IFI, sumala sa mga lagda nga pagasubayon ug sumbanan sa pag-elevate ngadto sa usa ka Dayosis. Giduso ug gi-aprobahan kini atol sa ika-11th Triennial General Assembly, the highest governing body of the IFI, on May 2008 hosted by the Diocese of MOBUCA at DCENT, Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City.

Its jurisdiction covers the municipality of Opol on the east and Lugait on the west.

Rev. Felixberto Calang- Diocesan Bishop of MOBUCA, uban sa mga opisyales niini, sama nila ni Padre Alberto Taban karon atong Domestic Prelate, the late Msgr. Roberto Kiunisala, Fr. James Atillo, Jr.. Fr. Redeemer A. Yañez, (Diocesan Bishop of Koronadal) Fr. Rolando Jhong Abejo, the late Mr. Cayetano Pacana III, Mr. Orlando Abut, Ms. Milvyn Amaba, Ms. Anthea Lou Maape, Ms. Cherry Mae Baculio ug Ms. Eva B. Ortega.
