To all seafarers, before joining your vessel, ensure that your SIRB/SRB and SID are valid for at least 15-20 months. This helps avoid issues and prevents penalties. Under MARINA Memorandum Circular No. MD-2024-01, serving onboard with expired or insufficient validity of SIRB/SRB and/or SID may result in a ₱10,000 penalty and possible non-employment until compliance is met. Coordinate closely with your manning agency and check your documents early.
