Center for International Private Enterprise Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with technical support from LAYERTech Software Labs help build capacity of 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 through its 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 – 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 (𝐇𝐏𝐃𝐄-𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄) Program.

Under the HPDE-DRIVE program, the training of mentors for North Luzon was conducted in Baguio City, to organize a pool of expert trainers on the digital economy, with strong understanding and knowledge of the local context. The training of mentors brought together representatives and chamber presidents from local chambers across North Luzon.

The session equipped mentors with practical approaches to supporting MSMEs in their digital upskilling journey. It also introduced the new HPDE 𝗔𝗜 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗸𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 and presented key findings from the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗽𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, providing insights into the evolving digital capacity-building needs of Philippine MSMEs.

With a growing network of trained mentors and chamber leaders, we look forward to cascading HPDE-DRIVE to more MSMEs across North Luzon and supporting businesses as they harness digital technologies for growth, innovation, and competitiveness.

Center for International Private Enterprise, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and LAYERTech Software Labs conducts the 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 – 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 (𝗛𝗣𝗗𝗘-𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘)'s first Training of Mentors in Iloilo, Philippines, marking an important milestone in the program’s implementation.

A total of 26 selected mentors from PCCI’s local chamber partners (and Nolitc) across the Visayas participated in the training, gaining a deeper understanding of the HPDE course, its digital resources, and the newly developed 𝗛𝗣𝗗𝗘 𝗔𝗜 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀. The mentors are being equipped to provide practical, context-specific guidance to MSMEs as they navigate digital technologies and emerging business tools.

This mentor rollout forms part of the broader HPDE-DRIVE initiative to reach and support MSMEs through structured digital learning, mentorship, and access to relevant resources.

The program is hosted by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), and Layertech Labs, in collaboration with PCCI’s chamber partners in the Visayas.

Through a network of trained mentors and industry partners, HPDE-DRIVE aims to strengthen the capacity of MSMEs to adopt digital solutions, improve business practices, and participate more effectively in the digital economy.

as the Center for Women in STEM sourced a fully programmable robotics kit and coding, python, and AI learning resources from Layertech!

Designed to accommodate learners with different levels of coding experience, the robots can be programmed using Arduino, Python, or beginner-friendly block-based coding—making them accessible to students and educators from beginners to more advanced programmers!

As part of our partnership, Layertech also provided free coding courses for the school’s faculty, helping teachers build the skills to bring technology-driven learning into the classroom.

A new journey into 𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 begins at Taysan Resettlement Integrated School!

On August 24, 2026, the school received an advanced, fully programmable robotics kit through Project , giving learners an opportunity to explore coding, robotics, and STEM through hands-on learning.

As a valued partner of the initiative, the learning kits were sourced from Layertech: robotics sets, which can be programmed using Python, Arduino, and block-based coding, along with 25 individual Learn2Code learning accounts covering four technology-focused courses: Beginner Coding, Basic Electronics, Python, and Artificial Intelligence.

We’re proud to support initiatives that give young learners access to advanced technology, practical digital skills, and new pathways for innovation.

𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐌-𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝!

We’re bringing hands-on robotics, programming, electronics, and AI exploration closer to young learners at Matanag Elementary School through a full set of advanced and fully programmable Smart Robot Kits.

The robotics kits come complete with AI modules, GPS, glove-control, waterproof sets, and more, giving students opportunities to explore technology through actual building, programming, and experimentation.

Students can program the robots using Arduino, Python, or block-based programming—making the kits accessible to both beginners and more advanced learners.

But the learning doesn’t stop with the equipment.

As part of the program, Layertech’s Learn2Code Courses in:
Beginners’ Programming, Practical Python, Electronics Exploration, and
Artificial Intelligence Exploration...

will also be made available, together with FREE additional access for faculty, helping teachers build their own skills and continue supporting students long after the initial training.

This initiative is made possible through the Project, led by the Center for Women in STEM and fully funded by Women Win.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗘𝗧𝗔 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗜-𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗯𝗼𝘁. The chatbot allows users to ask questions and explore Philippine budget data through a conversational interface.

We are working with partner universities and civil society organizations (CSOs) on research validation and impact evaluation. Ongoing studies on machine learning are also being conducted to further improve the chatbot and its ability to work with public budget data. Yet another school was granted access to STEM courses, training, and Advanced Robotics kits through the Center for Women in STEM's flagship project, CodeHers. CodeHers is a project fully funded by Global Development Organization Women Win.

CWSTEM turned over advanced robotics kits (fully programmable, with AI vision, GPS location, and advanced programming modules), along with Learn2Code Courses, to Banquerohan National High School during the opening of its Science Week Celebration. Layertech is happy to provide additional premium vouchers for FREE (Coding, Basic Electronics, Python, and Artificial Intelligence) to help with the sustainability of the program in the years to come. Layertech also provided Cute Coders Club Merchandise to get the learners more excited about their courses and activities!
