Pride Month is more than a date on the calendar. It is a living testament to how far the LGBTQIA+ community has come in its fight for civil rights and equality—and a powerful reminder of how much further we still need to go. It represents the courage to stand against injustice and the unwavering belief that dignity is not a privilege, but a right.

Let this year’s Pride be more than a moment. Let it be a promise—a commitment to building a kinder, more inclusive future. A tomorrow where no one has to apologize for who they are, where love is never questioned, and where identity is embraced, not judged.

This month, we celebrate the full spectrum of humanity—every color, every voice, every story, every truth. We honor not only the progress achieved, but also the people who fought, and continue to fight, to make that progress possible.

Because Pride has never been just a celebration. It has always been about belonging.

And as we mark this month, let us do more than take pride in who we are—let us help create a world where everyone has the freedom to do the same.

Following the conclusion of the CSEB Elections for A.Y. 2026–2027, The Channel has officially taken down all election-related publication materials and content under The Poll Pulse 2026.

This action is in accordance with standard post-election protocol and formally marks the conclusion of the publication’s election coverage.

Please be guided that the official proclamation of the newly elected CSEB officers will still be posted tomorrow.

Throughout the election period, The Channel remained committed to delivering accurate, timely, and responsible reporting. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Divinian community for its active participation, engagement, and trust.

The Channel remains steadfast in its mission to inform, represent, and serve.

Truth Against Silence

Telling the truth has never been simple. It demands presence in places many would rather avoid, courage in moments shaped by fear, and a voice that refuses to be silenced. Journalism is not merely about delivering news—it is about bearing witness to truth, even when reality is difficult to confront.

In times of unrest, this role becomes even more fragile—yet all the more essential. It cuts through propaganda and noise, amplifying the voices of those most affected and ensuring that truth is not buried by power or violence.

Stories continue to be told not because it is safe, but because it matters. Journalism is not meant to be controlled or silenced, but to illuminate reality—especially when it is most at risk of being hidden.

Today is not only a commemoration, but a call to protect and defend this vital freedom. Because when press freedom is lost, we do not just lose information—we lose truth. And when truth disappears, so do the voices that keep our world awake.

The Channel remains steadfast in its commitment to the integrity of God's creation, and we solemnly advocate for animal welfare. Recent events on our campus remind us that compassion requires action. To pursue truth and accountability with fairness is to ensure that the DWCL community remains a safe and humane environment for all.

As we celebrate Labor Day, let us be reminded that true labor requires empathy—not just for the people we work with, but for every being in this community.

Let's choose to be kind and advocate for a peaceful, just, and humane society.

𝗦𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝘄𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝘀𝗮, 𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝘂𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮.

Ngayong Araw ng Manggagawa, hindi pahinga ang pagod. Para sa maraming Pilipinong manggagawa, tuloy ang laban—maagang pagbangon, pagod na pag-uwi, at madalas, sahod na hindi sapat sa bigat ng pangangailangan.

Ang Araw ng Manggagawa ay ginugunita tuwing ika-1 ng Mayo bilang pagkilala sa mahalagang ambag ng sektor ng paggawa sa paghubog ng ating ekonomiya at lipunan. Sa Pilipinas, nagsimula ang makasaysayang pagdiriwang nito noong 1903 sa pangunguna ng Union Obrera Democratica Filipina, kung saan libo-libong manggagawa ang nagmartsa upang igiit ang makatarungang sahod at makataong kondisyon sa paggawa. Mula rito, naitatag ang pundasyon ng mga karapatang tinatamasa ngayon.

Ngunit higit pa sa kasaysayan, nananatili itong isang panawagan—para sa makatarungang pasahod, sapat na benepisyo, at tunay na seguridad sa trabaho. Sa gitna ng pag-unlad, marami pa rin ang naiiwan, patuloy na nakikipagbuno sa mababang sahod at hindi tiyak na kinabukasan. Sa bawat oras ng kanilang paggawa, kaakibat ang patuloy na laban para sa dignidad.

Ang paggunita sa Araw ng Manggagawa ay hindi lamang pag-alala sa nakaraan. Isa itong paalala na ang tunay na pag-unlad ay hindi nasusukat sa paglago ng ekonomiya, kundi sa kalagayan ng mga taong bumubuo nito.

Ang laban ng manggagawa ay nagpapatuloy—at dapat marinig.
