Daguit National High School Holds First Day of Campus Journalism Seminar-Workshop
Daguit National High School kicked off its much-anticipated 2-Day Seminar-Workshop on Campus Journalism on November 6, 2024. Aimed at honing the skills of aspiring young journalists, the first day of the workshop featured experienced speakers and practical discussions on core journalism skills. Attended by members of the school publication, Daguitab, as well as students from grades 7 to 12, the event provided valuable insights into various aspects of news media writing.
The morning session began with discussions on two foundational topics. Maโam Dolores L. Rufo led the first session on News Writing, where she introduced participants to the structure, style, and essentials of writing clear and engaging news articles. Her session highlighted the importance of accuracy and timeliness in news reporting. Following this, Sir Arth Renier Y. Mina tackled the complexities of Editorial Writing, guiding students on how to convey opinions effectively and craft persuasive editorials. His session emphasized critical thinking and the power of editorial voices in school journalism.
In the afternoon, the workshop turned to specialized forms of writing. Sir Al Bambino M. Camino, Master Teacher II at Vinzons Pilot High School and School Paper Adviser of The Echo, presented two engaging sessions. First, he covered Science and Technology Writing, where he shared techniques for simplifying complex topics and making science accessible to readers. Later, he led a session on Column Writing, encouraging students to develop their unique voices and perspectives on various issues. His expertise provided students with a strong foundation to expand their writing skills in both technical and opinionated styles.
The first day of the seminar concluded with enthusiastic feedback from participants, who expressed excitement for the sessions to come.

In line with this initiative, Daguit National High School Youth for Environment in Schools Organization, led by YES-O adviser Maam Sherybel J Dela Cruz, headed by Maam Maria Lourdes M. Santos, enthusiastically joined the asynchronous tree planting activity as a meaningful Christmas gift for all learners. This undertaking aimed to promote environmental consciousness and contribute to the preservation of a clean and green environment for the benefit of Filipino children and future generations. As part of the DepEd's nationwide campaign, Daguit National High School committed to planting a significant number of trees, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and responsible citizenship.

The DNHS Youth for Environment in School Organization (YES-O), in partnership with SBK and BKD, is set to host the much-anticipated DNHS Mr and Ms Kalikasan 2023 on December 1, 2023. This pageant aims to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among students. The competition will feature candidates from various grade levels, all vying for the prestigious titles of Mr and Ms Kalikasan. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting event!

The bad weather continues, so as the ardor of Daguitanians.
Regardless of the grey morning and afternoon with a dull sky and threatening rain, Daguit National High School resume the 2nd day of the DNHS INTRAMURALS 2023 today, November 18, 2023. The continuation of different sports were held again at different areas of the school and barangay, similar as Day 1.
With the limitless hard work of MAPEH Federation, and continuous active participation of students and teachers, the event was successfully conducted, with its aim to develop and sharpen students' ability, skills, and sportsmanship, and also, to help them find the real prize of hardwork, and realize the most important part of playing sports.
Through the dark and ragged clouds, the learners, again, continued to release their fervor towards every sports to get the championship. Nevertheless, the Grade 12 White Eagles unleashed extra power to flew higher, that made way for them to "Get the Gold" and became the overall champion. While the Grade 10 Blue Conquerors, got the 1st place as they poured out their strength, enough to annihilate and vanquish their opponents. And the Grade 11 Thunder Wolves showed off their fiercely attacks that helped them to seize the 2nd place.

No weather can dissuade and cease Daguitanians from showing off their passion, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship towards every sport and games.
Despite the unpredictable weather, Daguit National High School conducted the first day of the DNHS Intramurals 2023 today, November 17, 2023. Different sports and games are held in different areas of the school and barangay.
With the joint forces of the members of MAPEH Federation headed by Ma'am Marichu A. Mina, DNHS Sports Coordinator, and participations of all students and teachers from grade 7 to grade 12, the Intramurals helped increase the learners' engagement by the opportunities to interact socially with their peers and fellow learners from different grade levels, which aims to foster a sense of belonging, stimulate positive mental health, and also sharpen their ability in both academic and non-academic activities, with fun and enjoyment.
An opening program led by the MAPEH Fed. members begun the event, followed by an opening and welcome remarks given by ma'am Virginia C. Milante, T-III/OIC, lighting of torch, presentation of participants and yell, oath of sportsmanship, orientation and introduction of officiating officials, and oath of officiating officials. It was then continued by the start of the different sports and games.
The continuation of the event for the championship of each sports will be held tomorrow, November 18, 2023.
