Last March 19, 2026, an exciting Mathematics Day celebration was held at the Reviewing Stand, bringing together students for a day filled with learning and fun. With the theme “Math and Hope: Empowering Minds for a Changing World,” the event highlighted the importance of mathematics in shaping critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a brighter future.✨✨💡💡

Numbers, logic, and teamwork came together in one exciting celebration. Everyone challenged their minds and had fun as they competed in the Team Quiz, tested their luck and decision-making in Pera o Kahon, and enjoyed the thrill of Math Bingo where luck met logic. Who said math couldn’t be fun? It truly became a day where every number counted and problem-solving turned into an unforgettable experience. It served as a meaningful reminder that math is not only about numbers, but also about building hope and empowering minds to face the challenges of a rapidly changing world.💚🌍🌍

Demonstrating exceptional research capability, intellectual depth, and competitive excellence, our future educators proudly brought home multiple recognitions in both the Research Presentation and Quiz Bee competitions—bringing pride and honor to the Mathematics community.

Their research titled “Mathematics in Cultural Art: A Geometrical Analysis of Patterns of Blaan and Tnalak Textiles in South Cotabato as a Basis for Developing Instructional Materials” highlights the meaningful intersection of mathematics, culture, art, and education. By exploring the geometric patterns embedded in Blaan and Tnalak textiles, the study demonstrates how indigenous cultural designs can serve as rich foundations for developing culturally relevant mathematics instructional materials.
