TARA, BASA! Tutoring Program Culminates; Highlights Value of Reading & Learning

SINGAO INTEGRATED SCHOOL – Kidapawan City – The Tara, BASA! Tutoring Program for Grade 1 learners successfully held its Culminating Activity today, bringing together six (6) young learners and their supportive parents to celebrate progress, growth, and the joy of reading. πŸ“šβœ¨

This initiative, conducted in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), goes beyond basic reading instruction. It stands as a vital intervention that builds strong foundational skills, boosts learner confidence, and strengthens the home-school partnershipβ€”key elements in ensuring every child achieves literacy and love for learning at an early age.

A strong wave of inspiration and direction was shared during the event through the Message of Support delivered by SDS Miguel P. Fillalan Jr., CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent. In his message, he emphasized that literacy is the foundation of all learning and commended the school for its proactive steps in ensuring that no child is left behind. He expressed full support for reading intervention programs, stressing that empowering young learners with reading skills today prepares them to become capable, productive, and competitive citizens tomorrow. His words served as a powerful reminder of the division’s commitment to quality education and its dedication to uplifting the academic performance of every learner in Kidapawan City.

Leading the event in the absence of the School Head was Sir Allan L. Pacate, Master Teacher III and Officer-in-Charge of the Elementary Department. He stepped up with full dedication and leadership to ensure the program’s smooth implementation and success.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sir Allan for his exceptional commitment and for taking excellent care of the school’s operations and activities. He stood firmly in place of Ma’am Melody G. Almocera, who is currently attending the Gender-Responsive Adolescent Health and Development / Reproductive Health Training for Program Partners organized by the Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) held in Koronadal City from June 3–6, 2026. Her participation ensures our school remains updated and compliant with vital health, development, and gender-responsive policies for our community.

The program was graced by partners and officials who emphasized that Tara, BASA! is not just a reading programβ€”it is a pathway toward brighter futures, empowered families, and a stronger community of learners.

Truly, literacy changes lives. Congratulations to our young readers, proud parents, teachers, and partners!

LEARNING CELEBRATED: DepEd RXII Singao Integrated School Concludes Summer Remediation Program 2026

KIDAPAWAN CITY – With joy, pride, and a sense of great achievement, Singao Integrated School officially marked the successful conclusion of its Summer Remediation Program 2026 yesterday, June 2. The Culmination Program brought together learners, teachers, parents, and stakeholders to celebrate weeks of hard work, academic growth, and community unity.

Program Purpose: Bridging Gaps, Building Futures
Designed with a vital mission, the Summer Remediation Program served as a strategic intervention to strengthen the academic foundation of learners, specifically focusing on Literacy and Numeracy. Its primary goal was to ensure that learning gaps were addressed, skills were mastered, and every student was fully prepared and confident as they transition to the next grade level. True to its objective, the program stood by the principle: No learner shall be left behind.

For several weeks, the school buzzed with activity even during the summer break. Students displayed remarkable dedication, attending classes regularly and participating actively, proving their commitment to improving themselves and valuing their education.

Highlight of the Event: Learning Meets Fun
Adding color and excitement to the culmination day was an educational activity initiated and facilitated by Sir Allan Pacate who organized engaging Game Contests in Mathematics, and Maam Rizabelle Duldulao in Reading. πŸ“šπŸ”’

This segment was the highlight of the celebration, showcasing the knowledge and skills the students had acquired. In the Mathematics Contest, learners eagerly raised their hands to answer questions, demonstrating sharp thinking and mastery of basic operations. Meanwhile, the Reading and Literacy Contest tested not just fluency but also comprehension, allowing students to show how much their reading abilities and confidence had improved.

To encourage excellence and active participation, various prizes were awarded to students who gave correct answers and performed outstandingly. The cheers and applause that filled the venue reflected the enthusiasm of the crowd, turning the assessment of learning into a fun and memorable experience.

Gratitude: A Collective Effort
The success of the program was attributed to the strong support system surrounding the school.

To the Teachers:
The school administration and the whole community expressed deepest gratitude to the faculty members who selflessly devoted their time and energy. β€œDespite it being the summer break, you opened your classrooms and your hearts,” acknowledging their patience, dedication, and passion for teaching. They turned what could have been a challenging period into a positive, encouraging, and productive learning environment.

To the Parents and Guardians:
The partnership between the school and the home was also highlighted. Parents were commended for their unwavering support, cooperation, and involvement. β€œYour presence and encouragement served as the greatest inspiration for our learners. Thank you for prioritizing your children’s education and trusting us with their growth,” the school expressed.

To the Generous Donors:
Special recognition was also given to the benevolent donors and stakeholders who sustained the program. From Day 1 until Day 20, supporters continuously provided free snacks and nourishment for the participants and staff. This generosity ensured that everyone remained energized, healthy, and ready to learn dailyβ€”a true manifestation of community care and Bayanihan spirit.

As the program ended, the entire Singao Integrated School community looked forward with hope and optimism, ready for the opening of classes and committed to the continuous delivery of quality education.

This Brigada Eskwela, Singao Integrated School supports the β€œAlas-Kwatro Kontra Mosquito” advocacy! πŸ“’

Dengue is a serious threat, but we can stop it together. Every day at 4:00 PM, let us practice the 4 T’s:

πŸ”„ TAOB – Flip items that hold water
πŸ’§ TAKTAK – Remove standing water
β˜€οΈ TUYO – Dry the surroundings
πŸͺ£ TAKIP – Cover water containers securely

This simple daily habit removes the breeding places of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes β€” the ones that spread Dengue. 🚫🦟

Let us make our school, homes, and community safe, clean, and healthy for everyone! πŸ’š
