Davao City has once again been named the top destination in the Philippines for travel experience, according to the April 2026 rankings from the global travel data platform World Travel Index.

The city achieved an overall index score of 75.66, slightly above its 2025 score of 75.48, demonstrating strong performance in safety, infrastructure, affordability, and tourism appeal.

WTI stated that the Philippines remains “well-developed and worth visiting,” with a national score of 76.23, ranking 33rd out of 193 countries worldwide based on overall travel experience. Behind Davao City in the national rankings were Puerto Princesa (74.68), Makati (73.82), Baguio (73.78), Dumaguete (73.61), Cebu (73.29), Iloilo (71.22), Manila (68.98), Legazpi (68.29), and Lapu-Lapu City (67.70).

The World Travel Index assesses destinations based on global standards related to livability, tourism appeal, safety, accommodation costs, and transportation and urban infrastructure.

BREAKING NEWS: May ilang mambabatas sa Kamara ang umano’y nagkakaroon ng pag-aalinlangan sa pagsuporta sa impeachment laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte, ilang araw matapos aprubahan ng House Justice Committee ang pagkakaroon ng probable cause.

Ayon sa ulat, may umiikot na 17-pahinang draft resolution na naglalaman ng mga Articles of Impeachment laban sa bise presidente, kabilang ang umano’y culpable violation of the Constitution, corruption, at betrayal of public trust.

Mahigit 40 kongresista, sa pangunguna ni Gerville Luistro, ang unang nakalistang may-akda ng resolusyon. Gayunman, lumilitaw na humihina ang bilang na ito matapos umanong may hindi bababa sa isang dosenang mambabatas ang nag-request na alisin ang kanilang pangalan dahil sa pangamba sa posibleng backlash. May ulat din na may ilang pangalan na naisama nang hindi umano pumayag ang mga ito.

Nakatakdang bumoto ang Kamara sa Mayo 11 kung saan kailangan ng hindi bababa sa 106 boto upang umusad ang impeachment sa Senado.

Samantala, iniulat ding nagsasagawa na umano ng inisyal na pagbilang ng suporta si Sandro Marcos, kasabay ng tumitinding galaw-politikal bago ang mahalagang botohan.

Our teachers and nurses are still overworked yet underpaid.

Our labor laws and benefits including our basic salary seems like we’re in the early 2000’s.
