Senator Risa Hontiveros visited the NVC Gymnasium with the other schools to deliver an important talk on the Safe Spaces Act (R.A. 11313), also known as the Bawal Bastos Law. This law combats and prevents gender-based sexual harassment in various public and private spaces, including streets, workplaces, educational institutions, online platforms, and other public areas. The senator discussed how the law protects individuals from harassment and promotes safer environments for everyone, especially women and members of vulnerable groups. The CWTS officers and other volunteers helped with the event.

A seminar in Project Management.

The JJC Northwestern Visayan Colleges will conduct a Project Management Seminar on October 12, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Kalibo Pilot Elementary School. This seminar will help the CWTS-1 students of Northwestern Visayan Colleges improve their skills in conducting different projects. This will also serve as a stepping stone for CWTS-1 to continue to build a powerful and developing individual.

A simple project can be significantly improved by using the discipline and skill set of project management, which is effective for students to learn and discover. A contribution of 30 pesos is required for the participants it is the payment for the venue, drinks, speakers, and certificate. Please take note that the students who pay early will only receive the certificates on the actual event and students who pay on the day of the event will have their certificate to be followed.
