Run Aklan

𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬

Before any runner crosses a start line, a room full of people has already spent hours making sure they can finish safely.

Today we sat down with MDRRMO Kalibo, PDRRMO, PNP Kalibo, BFP Kalibo, Saint Gabriel EMS, barangay representatives from Tigayon, Nalook, Caano, New Washington, Estancia and Andagao, and the Municipal Legal Office — coordinating everything that keeps LUMINA: Dreams in Motion runners safe on October 11.

Route marshals. Medical response. Traffic management. Permits. None of it shows up in a race photo, but all of it is why race day works.

Thank you to everyone in that room today. This race is only possible because of you.

We're grateful to welcome 𝗺𝗹𝗯𝗿𝗿𝘆-𝗼-𝗯𝗮𝗿 as a sponsor for LUMINA: Dreams in Motion.

Protein from peanuts. Real dried black mulberries. Sweetened with honey, and built on whole rolled oats. Four things you can name, in a bar made right here in Aklan.

And they're setting up at Lumina. 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 — so find them early, before the tray runs out.

They come in 20g, 40g, or a bundle of 12.

Now they're helping us invest in bright futures for local women and girls through S*K Lumina's Soroptimist programs.

𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱.

Thank you to every runner who signed up. We'll see you at the starting line.

We're grateful to welcome 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘀 as a sponsor for LUMINA: Dreams in Motion.

They're an institution built on the idea that Aklanons shouldn't have to leave home to get a good education. That the province can train its own teachers, nurses, accountants, and public servants — and keep them here.

That's the same belief behind this event. Education opens doors, and the right opportunity at the right time changes what someone's life looks like.

Now they're helping us invest in bright futures for local women and girls through S*K Lumina's Soroptimist programs.

We're grateful to welcome 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗰. as a sponsor for LUMINA: Dreams in Motion.

We're grateful to welcome 𝗚.𝗙. 𝗥𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 as a sponsor for LUMINA: Dreams in Motion.

They're an Aklan business in the building trade — supplying materials and taking on engineering and construction work. The kind of company that's part of how this province gets built, one project at a time.

Now they're helping us invest in bright futures for local women and girls through S*K Lumina's Soroptimist programs.

We're grateful to welcome 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 as a sponsor for LUMINA: Dreams in Motion.

Their whole promise is in four words: where it feels like home. Not the marble-and-lobby kind of hospitality — the kind where you actually settle in, put your things down, and stop feeling like a visitor.

And for anyone travelling into Kalibo for October 11, that's not a small thing. Especially when you've got a 4AM start ahead of you.
