The Provincial Government of Aklan through the Aklan Gender and Development Commission chaired by Gov. Florencio T. Miraflores (Aklan Capitol) and the Provincial Planning and Development Office headed by Engr. Roger M. Esto would like to thank all our partners and stakeholders for the activities we have accomplished for 2018. Among others, we have been recertified as GAD Local Learning Hub by the Philippine Commission on Women form 2018-2020 (1 in 5 Provinces in the whole Philippines) and increased our incentive for barangays for the Governor's Search for Best Barangay VAW Desk. We would not have done it without your help. Cheers to more accomplishments in 2019.
Special thanks to the Job Order employees of PPDO SPS (John & Shundy) for making these infographics and putting these pictures together.

Single, taken, o taken by career man, hawak dapat ng bawat babae ang kaniyang buhay.

"There is now a worldwide outcry against a feudal-machismo culture still persisting, manifested by r**e, intimate partner abuse, s*x trafficking, s*xual harassment cases in the entertainment, media and various spheres, and s*xist remarks from influential personalities, including those in male-dominated groups and fraternities, among others.
In a society where women’s rights must be respected, protected, and fulfilled, toxic masculinity cannot be tolerated."
