As part of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office VI onsite monitoring and evaluation conducted on July 7–8, 2026, the ASU Kalibo Library underwent an assessment of its resources, facilities, services, and operations in support of the University’s commitment to quality higher education.

The activity highlighted the library’s continued efforts to provide relevant resources and quality services that support instruction, research, extension, and learning.

The successful evaluation reflects the dedication and teamwork of the ASU Kalibo Library personnel: Ms. Shaerilyn Rose Roberto, Head Librarian; Ms. Hannah Alayon, College Librarian; and Ms. Rose Ann Hortilano, Ms. Jinky Pacatang, and Mr. John Jaravata, Library Staff.

ANNOUNCEMENT | NEW LIBRARY HOURS

In line with Memorandum Order No. 04-0334, Series of 2026, issued by the Office of the University President—enhancing Office Memorandum No. 03-0254, Series of 2026—and pursuant to CHED Memorandum No. 117, s. 2026, Executive Order No. 110, s. 2026 (State of National Energy Emergency), and Memorandum Circular No. 114, Series of 2026, Aklan State University will implement an enhanced flexible work arrangement and delivery of instruction effective April 16, 2026, until officially lifted.

📚 ASU Kalibo Library New Office Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (On-site)
Friday: Work-from-Home (No on-site services)
Saturday: Non-Working Day

In view of the upcoming regular holiday in the Philippines, Araw ng Kagitingan (April 9, 2026)—and in consideration of the University’s current compressed workweek arrangement, the following temporary office schedule guidelines shall be observed:

𝟏. 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝟖-𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞
From 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟔, 𝟕, 𝟖, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, all administrative offices shall revert to the standard 8-hour onsite work schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) in lieu of the 10-hour compressed workweek arrangement. Teaching personnel shall also follow the regular 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule.

𝟐. 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧
On 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (Thursday), all classes and office transactions are suspended in observance of Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor).

An official memorandum will be issued for further details. The whole ASU community and the public are advised to be guided accordingly.

All classes and other curricular activities are suspended from April 2–4, 2026, in observance of the Holy Week. There shall also be no office transactions during this period.

Office operations will resume on Monday, April 6, 2026.
