June 13, 2026, the officers and members of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) – Orong Chapter actively participated in the Skills Training on Table Skirting, Napkin Folding, and Dining Etiquette with a Special Discussion on Drug Awareness Campaign held at the Kabankalan Training Center. This meaningful activity was organized by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Kabankalan City through the Adolescent/Youth and Development Program in partnership with PYAP–Kabankalan City.

The training provided participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills in table arrangement, napkin artistry, and proper dining etiquette. It also highlighted the importance of drug awareness, encouraging young people to make responsible choices and maintain a healthy, productive, and drug-free lifestyle.

PYAP–Barangay Orong remains committed to supporting programs that promote youth development, leadership, and community involvement. Through activities like this, our young people are empowered to enhance their talents, build self-confidence, and become responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.

May this experience inspire more youth to participate in meaningful programs that foster personal growth, lifelong learning, and community service. Together, let us continue to build a stronger and more empowered generation for a brighter future.

The sun shines bright, but hearts filled with gratitude shine even brighter! Today, PYAP Orong Chapter successfully conducted its Balik-Eskwela Outreach Program, which aimed to help pupils by providing school supplies to 50 pupils in Sitio Upper Balisong, Brgy. Orong. Marching on foot, with smiles as shield, and service as spears. The PYAP Volunteers will reach your hearts no matter where you are!

With hearts full of love and a passion for serving the community, we are beyond grateful to the people who made this event memorable and possible. Thank you to our dearest sponsors and Sangguniang Panlungsod Board Members, Hon. Ptr. John T. Antolo, Hon. Helen Q. Ibañez, Hon. Jose M. Dumaguete, and Hon. Joestarr B. Accidents are unpredictable and can happen at any time. But with the help of first aid knowledge in emergency situations, you can help prevent further injury and damage. In line with that, PYAP Orong officers attended a 2-day training program conducted by the City Federated Parents Teachers Association (CFPTA) in coordination with the City Social Welfare Development (CSWD) and the Office of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Kabankalan City. This event, entitled "Children's Safety Link: Connecting Home, Community and School," took place at Brgy. Orong Covered Court on May 29–30, 2026.

This event not only aimed to teach the proper practice of giving first aid but also to connect the community through the implementation of Bayanihan during fire outbreaks. Through this event, the citizens corrected old practices, learned proper first aid techniques, and gained hands-on experience in providing care to patients through demonstrations and pair-up activities.

In times of traumatic situations, people tend to take out their phones, record videos, go live, or post the situation on social media instead of calling for rescue. People care, but not enough to dial an emergency number for help. Stop these careless actions and start being informed. 💚

Today, PYAP Orong successfully handled the general assembly that happened this morning, which included the orientation of new members and a short briefing of future plans. These volunteers decided to take a step toward making the future brighter. Through the efforts of the officers, with the help of a few former officers, this event took a leap toward success. This event proves that the power of one, supported by many, can make a difference. As these young people decided to take a step into volunteerism, they hold the quiet power of leadership, the heart of a helper, and minds that can influence.

This event would not be complete without the very people whose generosity and support for the youth are highly appreciated. Thank you so much to Kapehan SA Tuburan by: Maychelle’s , Ma'am Cheryl, and the SK Council for providing the snacks for the PYAP Orong volunteers. We would also like to thank Kap.
