Elderly Filipino Week is commemorated every October 1-7, by Proclamation No.470, issued by then Pres. Fidel V. Ramos on September 26, 1994. It is believed that older Filipinos are essential members of the society who need help and protection in order to live productive happy lives. Filipinos put high cultural importance for the aging and elderly. Young people are expected to respect them. Older individuals should also be addressed politely especially with suitable titles of respect. Happy Filipino Elderly Week!

Today at the Operations Center, Jones, Isabela, marks the official release of Livelihood Assistance Grant under the combined DSWD's Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) with the government's Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) program on Peace and Development. The payout duly attended by the DSWD Undersecretary for Peace and Devt. Group, Sir Alan A. Tanjusay and the DSWD Regional Office 2 Director, Ma'am Lucia Suyu Alan. The beneficiary, the Kaagapay Association of Brgy. Sta. Isabel, Jones, Isabela received the amount of Php 300,000.00. The payout was also attended by the Local Officials, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Hon. Mike Cesar Montano and Hon. Suzette Sebastian together with Mun. Admin., Dr. Manuel Cabungcal, Jr., MSWDO, Mary Annette C. Manayan and SB Sec., Novelyn M. Bulan and Brgy Officials of Brgy. Sta. Isabel.

⚠️BABALA SA PUBLIKO⚠️

Pinag-iingat ang lahat na huwag makikipag-ugnayan sa mga nagpapanggap na empleyado at umaaktong mga fixer ng permit para sa Minors Traveling Abroad (MTA). Ito’y matapos makatanggap ang mga DSWD staff ng MTA ng mga ulat hinggil sa mga nag-aalok ng rush o one-day processing ng Travel Clearance (TC) kapalit ng malaking halaga ng pera.

Tanging ang DSWD MTA lang ang opisyal na opisina na nagpapahintulot ng pag-iisyu ng Travel Clearance o Certificate of Exemption (COE).
Siguraduhin na sa MTA Website: mta.dswd.gov.ph lang mag-apply ng TC na may online payment na Php 800.00 at COE na Php 300.00 naman ang bayad.

I-report sa MTA Office ang mga fixer at iba pang mga maanomalyang transaksyon.
