Successful Delivery of Supplementary and Complementary Food Boxes

The Provincial Health Office – Nutrition Unit successfully delivered supplementary and complementary food boxes to five mainland municipalities, namely Akbar, Mohammad Ajul, Tuburan, Maluso, and Lantawan. In several areas, recipients were present to personally receive the food boxes, ensuring timely and direct distribution to the intended beneficiaries.

The complementary food boxes are intended for cured SAM (Severe Acute Malnutrition) beneficiaries, while the supplementary food boxes are designated for teenage pregnant women, individuals with low Body Mass Index (BMI), and mothers who completed their prenatal visits and delivered in a health facility. These interventions aim to support nutritional recovery, promote maternal and child health, and encourage safe and facility-based deliveries.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Health – Nutrition Division for providing these food boxes and for their continued support in strengthening nutrition programs and improving the overall well-being of our communities.

Strengthening collaboration and unity for better nutrition outcomes 💪🥗

NDDPs and Nutrition Officers participated in the Nutrition Team Building with Chief Nutrition Division Ms. Celia Sagaral on December 6–8, 2025, at YHWH Transient House, Canelar, Zamboanga City. The activity was made more meaningful with a mini gift-giving activity and fun games that fostered camaraderie, teamwork, and stronger bonds among participants.
