MAY 29, 2026 – 08:00 AM — The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) relays the latest weather advisory from DOST-PAGASA regarding the entry of a tropical cyclone into the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
At approximately 12:30 AM today, 29 May 2026, Tropical Storm with international name “JANGMI” crossed the PAR boundary and was designated with the local name “DOMENG.”
In compliance with standard protocols, DOST-PAGASA will begin issuing formal Tropical Cyclone Bulletins starting at 5:00 AM today, which will provide detailed information on the system’s location, movement, intensity, and possible impacts on land and sea areas.
The PDRRMO urges the public to remain vigilant and rely only on official information from government agencies. Further directives, advisories, or suspension orders will be communicated immediately through official channels should the need arise.
Let us be proactive and prepared.
WEATHER UPDATE | At 12:30 AM today (29 MAY 2026) , Tropical Storm JANGMI has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and was assigned the domestic name DOMENG. Tropical Cyclone Bulletins will be issued starting at 5:00 AM today.

PABATID MULA SA BASILAN PDRRMO
Ang Sea Ambulance ng Basilan PDRRMO ay hindi pa po available sa kasalukuyan dahil ito ay sumasailalim pa sa pagsasaayos at paghahanda upang matiyak ang kaligtasan at maayos na operasyon nito para sa publiko.
Sa ngayon, patuloy pong isinasagawa ang mga kinakailangang pag-aayos at pagsusuri bago ito opisyal na mailagay sa operasyon bilang bahagi ng pagpapalakas ng emergency response at medical transport services sa lalawigan.
Pinapayuhan po ang lahat na hintayin ang opisyal na anunsyo mula sa Basilan PDRRMO hinggil sa availability at operational status ng Sea Ambulance.

Based on the latest Mindanao Weather Forecast , Basilan and the rest of Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Trough of the Low Pressure Area (LPA) currently located east of General Santos City.
Moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger possible flash floods and landslides, especially in low-lying, flood-prone, and mountainous areas.
Expected Weather Conditions:
• Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms
• Light to moderate winds from Northeast to Northwest
• Slight to moderate sea conditions (0.6 – 1.5 meters)
The public, especially residents near rivers, coastal communities, and landslide-prone areas, are advised to remain vigilant and monitor further weather advisories and updates.
Motorists, fisherfolk, and small sea craft operators are likewise encouraged to exercise precaution during adverse weather conditions.
