CvSU President Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro and UKRIDA Rector Prof. Dr.-Ing. Herman Parung, M.Eng., formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding during a ceremony held at the University Boardroom. Witnessing the signing together with the UKRIDA Vice Rector Oki Sunardi were key university officials, including Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Cristina M. Signo; Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Dr. Melbourne R. Talactac; deans from the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Engineering and Information Technology, and Economics, Management, and Development Studies; and the Officers-in-Charge of the International and Local Collaboration and Linkages Office (ILCLO).
The ceremony highlighted the key provisions of the agreement, including collaborative initiatives, shared responsibilities, and implementation mechanisms designed to strengthen academic linkages, research collaboration, and innovation between the two institutions. The partnership reflects CvSUโ€™s commitment to sustainable development and contributes to the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly by promoting quality education and fostering international cooperation.

Cavite State University proudly celebrates another milestone as its academic units were recognized among the nationโ€™s top-performing schools during the Oathtaking Ceremonies of Newly Licensed Professional Teachers and the Awarding of Top Performing Schools in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), held on June 12, 2026, at the Lucena City Convention Center, Lucena City, Quezon.

Certificates of Recognition received from the Philippine Regulation Commission were:

โ€ข Top 7 Performing School (Secondary Cluster) Nationwide โ€“ CvSU Silang Campus

๐‚๐š๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ž ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ (๐‚๐ฏ๐’๐”) proudly announces the approval of its proposal under the Student-based Incubation Program: Bridging Technology and Entrepreneurship by Optimizing Ideas to Leverage Start-up Development (SIBOL), a flagship initiative of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) under its Technology Business Incubation (TBI) Program and implemented in partnership with DOST-PCAARRD.

The official approval was communicated through a letter from CHED dated June 8, 2026, and formally recognized during the launch of the SIBOL Program at the 32nd CHED Anniversary Strategic Partnership Convergence held on June 10, 2026, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

As one of the 24 participating State Universities and Colleges nationwide, CvSU joins a pioneering network led by Isabela State University that aims to transform student innovation into viable startups and future enterprises.

SIBOL seeks to develop a comprehensive student incubation ecosystem by integrating startup development into higher education through capability-building activities, mentorship, industry engagement, startup cohorts, and seed funding opportunities. The program also envisions the use of microcredentials tied to startup milestones, providing alternative pathways for students to fulfill academic requirements such as internships and capstone projects while building real-world ventures.

Through this initiative, CvSU reaffirms its commitment to nurturing future-ready innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers who can contribute to sustainable community development and national progress.

Cavite State University (CvSU) was recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division Office of Cavite Province during the 2026 Stakeholdersโ€™ Summit held on May 29, 2026, at Tanza Oasis Hotel and Resort, Tanza, Cavite.

The University received the plaques of recognition for being one of the Outstanding Stakeholders and Most Outstanding Stakeholders in acknowledgment of its invaluable support and sustained partnership with DepEd Cavite in advancing relevant, responsive, and quality basic education services for learners across the province.

On behalf of the University, Dr. Liza C. Costa, Dean of the College of Education, received the said awards highlighting CvSUโ€™s continuing commitment to educational development through its strong collaboration with basic education institutions, teacher training initiatives, research partnerships, extension programs, and community engagement activities.

The recognition affirms the University's significant contributions to strengthening the resilience and effectiveness of the education sector, particularly through programs that support teacher development, learner achievement, and community empowerment.

As one of the leading higher education institutions in the province, CvSU remains steadfast in its mission of providing quality education while fostering meaningful partnerships with stakeholders in the pursuit of educational excellence and sustainable development.

Dr. Costa expressed her gratitude to DepEd for the recognition and emphasized that the award reflects the collective efforts of the University administration, faculty members, staff, students, and partner schools who continuously work together to uplift the quality of education and service in the community.

The recognition further strengthens the long-standing partnership between CvSU and DepEd Cavite, reinforcing their shared commitment to nurturing learners, empowering educators, and building stronger communities through education.

The awards were presented by Rosemarie D. Torres, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd Cavite Province, during the Stakeholdersโ€™ Summit which gathered education partners and stakeholders who have significantly contributed to the achievement of DepEd's goals and programs.

This June, the Philippines marks Judiciary Month, celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Supreme Court.

Declared under Presidential Proclamation No. 1265, s. 2026, the observance calls on government agencies, local government units, the private sector, and civil society to support and partake in the commemoration.

Established on June 11, 1901 through Act No. 136 of the Philippine Commission, the Supreme Court has stood as a pillar of justiceโ€”first led by Chief Justice Cayetano Arellano.

In line with this milestone year, the Court unveils a series of activities under the theme: โ€œSC: 125 Years of Tradition and Innovation.โ€

Cavite State University warmly welcomes Dr. Jeshurun Asher M. Tarun, as a Balik Scientist!

During his courtesy visit, he was warmly received by University President Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro and Dr. Melbourne R. Talactac, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension. Accompanying him as well were Dr. Miriam D. Baltazar, Director of the Research Center; Mr. Yves Roy M. Tibayan, Linkages Officer; and Mr. Jacob M. Gomez, Technical Services Head.

Dr. Tarun is a Filipino plant biotechnologist and crop scientist specializing in plant genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics. He earned his Ph.D. in Crop Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he also conducted postdoctoral research.

His engagement, funded by DOST-PCAARRD, will involve working closely with the University Research Center and the National Coffee Research, Development, and Extension Center. Through this, he will contribute to ongoing efforts of the University to strengthen research and support the countryโ€™s coffee sector.
