Believers of the Way

Believing everything written in the Torah (teaching or instruction) and the Prophets and in the resurrection of the dead made possible through Yeshua The Messiah (Jesus Christ).

Yeshua didnโ€™t leave the timing of His death unclear. He gave one sign: โ€œThree days and three nights in the heart of the earthโ€ (Mat 12:40).

So the question is simple: Does the traditional timeline actually match that?
When you go back to the text, a clearer picture emerges.

Hereโ€™s a simple breakdown of that week (Biblical days begin at sunset.)

The women rested on the Sabbath (Luke 23:56).
โ€ข Around sunset, Yeshua rose, fulfilling the sign of three days and three nights (Mat 12:40, 28:1).

โ€ข The women came to the tomb (Luke 24:1).
โ€ข Yeshua was already risen (Luke 24:2-3).
โ€ข This aligns with First Fruits (1 Cor 15:20).

If this doesnโ€™t resonate because youโ€™ve been taught differently, take it to prayer. Ask Him to open your eyes and guide you through His Word.
But donโ€™t comment if you havenโ€™t actually worked through whatโ€™s been laid out. This is not complicated. The timeline either fits or it doesnโ€™t.
I wonโ€™t be engaging with comments that clearly ignore the details.

PS: Also, many point to verses like โ€œon the third dayโ€ (1 Corinthians 15:4) as if that contradicts this.
It doesnโ€™t. Scripture uses both phrases: โ€œon the third dayโ€ and โ€œthree days and three nightsโ€ (Matthew 12:40). They are not in conflict. They describe the same event from different angles.
So the question isnโ€™t which one we choose.
Itโ€™s whether our timeline can account for both.

Did Jesus/Yeshua teach the Torah?

Jesus/Yeshua instructs his disciples not only to obey the commandments of the Torah. He also instructs them to teach the commandments to others.

Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. -Matthew 5:19 NKJV

We live in a world where people take pride in things they should be ashamed of. But as followers of Yeshua, we are called to stand firm in truth and righteousness. Let's not be swayed by the world's values but instead hold fast to what is right in the eyes of the Lord.

"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness." โ€“ Isaiah 5:20

In these times, let us remember to be the light that shines in the darkness, standing firm in the truth and living according to God's word.

Just amazing!

Apparently, the 12 stones mentioned in Exodus 28 and Revelation 21 are all anisotropic. This means when you view them through pure light, they display brilliant and beautiful colors. God is the source of light.

"...and there was a rainbow round about the throne..." -Revelation 4:3

No one knew about this until our generation today that such jewels possessed anisotropic properties, the same qualities that God includes in The New Yerushalayim. These stones are also on the breastplate that the High Priest wore. These 12 precious stones are representing the 12 tribes of Israel. Yes, The Bible describes Israel as God's chosen people to be a light to the nations:

God called Israel to be a light to the nations, a covenant for the people, and to show the one true God to those in darkness. -Isaiah 42:6-7

God chose these stones. Not even John knew when he penned the book of Revelation, and Moses had no idea when he authored the book of Exodus that these stones are anisotropic gems. But obviously God knew! It is proof that the Bible is God's Word!

Ephesians 5:11 Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.

G'mar (or Gmar, Gemar) Hatima (or Hatimah, Chatima, Chatimah) Tova (or Tovah)

G'mar Hatima Tova literally means "A good final sealing" and idiomatically means "May you be inscribed (in the Book of Life) for Good."

Eze 33:4-5 then whoever hears the sound of the shofar and doesnโ€™t heed the warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head. He heard the sound of the shofar and didnโ€™t take warning. His blood will be on him; whereas if he had heeded the warning, he would have delivered his soul.

While it is true that in pursuit of our dreams, we find motivation and inspiration from this event. Let us not forget what our true goal is.

โ€œTherefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Yeshua (Jesus), the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.โ€ (Hebrews 12:1-2)

We are not saved by doing good works, yet we are saved to do good works (Titus 2:14). We donโ€™t do good works to be saved. We carry out good works because we are saved.
