This week at the Restituted Poets Society, our theme is “The Significance of Words.” This theme reflects how words are a fundamental value of writing. As poets, it is essential for us not only to re-learn the meaning of words, but also to understand the importance of language precision as we try to effectively communicate our message to people through poetry. Even a simple word, whether positive or negative, can have a powerful impact on the world.

This session’s verse is Proverbs 12:18:
“The one who speaks thoughtlessly pierces like a sword; but the words of the wise bring healing.”

This week at the Restituted Poets Society, our theme is “Petals, Poetry, and Promises.”This theme title is about how our talents bloom in every way and how we love them every single day. Since February is the month of lovebirds, it suggests a love story in which people give flowers, express their feelings through writing or speech, and make meaningful vows to one another, even if it isn’t romantical love.

This session’s verse is Corinthians 13:4-8,
“Love is patient, Love is Kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, It keeps no record of wrong. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with truth. It always protects, It always trusts, It always hopes, It always perseveres. Love never fails.”

Ready, set… Game Time! 🔥

Just one more day until we hit the court for basketball, badminton, and a whole lot of fun together. This sports day will take place tomorrow, February 20 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ’s Commission Fellowship Imus Badminton & Basketball Court — we can’t wait to see you there! 🏸🏀

As a quick reminder, please come in proper sports attire and bring your own rackets and shuttlecocks if you’ll be playing badminton. Registration opens at 7:30 AM, so feel free to arrive early if you’d like to shoot around, stretch, practice, or warm up before the games begin.
