Nagpulong ang Department of Trade and Industry Region 02 (DTI R2) at DTI Isabela Provincial Office kasama ang mga kongresista ng Isabela upang talakayin ang mga programa para sa pagpapalakas ng micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at iba pang development initiatives sa lalawigan.
Pinangunahan ni House Speaker Faustino โBojieโ Dy III ang diskusyon kasama ang mga kinatawan ng LPG Marketers Association (LPGMA) Party-list ukol sa mga prayoridad na programa ng DTI para sa pagpapaunlad ng kabuhayan at lokal na negosyo sa Isabela. na isinagawa noong May 25 sa Batasan Hills Quezon City. Inilatag nina DTI R2 Regional Director Ma. Sofia G. Narag at Acting Provincial Director Atty. Cyrus I. Restauro ang mga hakbang ng ahensya sa pagpapalawak ng livelihood at enterprise development opportunities, pagpapalakas ng Shared Service Facility (SSF) projects, at pagpapaigting ng consumer protection programs sa buong lalawigan.
Layunin ng pakikipagtulungan sa mga mambabatas na maisulong ang inklusibo at tuloy-tuloy na paglago ng ekonomiya sa Isabela sa pamamagitan ng mas matibay na suporta sa mga lokal na negosyante at MSMEs, patuloy na pinagtitibay ng ahensya ang koordinasyon nito sa mga stakeholder at legislative partners.

Inilunsad ng DTI Isabela Provincial Office, katuwang ang Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Benito Soliven, ang kauna-unahang โDTI Serbisyo Caravanโ noong Mayo 26, 2026, upang ilapit ang mga programang pangkabuhayan at serbisyo ng gobyerno sa mga negosyante at aspiring entrepreneurs sa bayan.
Dinaluhan ito ng mga micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at mga nais magsimula ng kabuhayan upang makinabang sa iba't ibang business development programs at government services. Pinuri ni Mayor John Paul S. Azur ang mga lokal na negosyante sa kanilang ambag sa paglago ng ekonomiya ng Benito Soliven, kasabay ng pagpapahalaga sa potensyal ng banana fiber industry at mga lokal na produkto. Ibinahagi rin ang planong pagbubukas ng Pasalubong Center ngayong Hunyo upang mas mapalawak ang merkado ng mga lokal na produkto.
Nagpahayag naman ng suporta si Acting Provincial Director Cyrus I. Restauro, kinilala ang matibay na pakikipagtulungan ng LGU sa DTI. Tampok sa caravan ang mga seminar tungkol sa packaging, marketing, at negosyo education, gayundin ang mga programang pangkabuhayan tulad ng CFIDP at SSF. Nagsagawa ang Department of Trade and Industry o DTI Region 2 ng dalawang araw na monitoring at enforcement activity sa mga bayan ng Delfin Albano, Cabagan, Santo Tomas, at Sta. Maria sa lalawigan ng Isabela mula Mayo 25 hanggang 26, 2026. Layunin ng operasyon na tiyakin ang mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng Fair Trade Laws at proteksyon ng mga mamimili.
Sa isinagawang inspeksyon, umabot sa 70 business establishments ang sinuri ng DTI Enforcement Team upang matiyak ang pagsunod sa mga regulasyon tulad ng tamang paglalagay ng price tags, pag-iwas sa deceptive sales acts at false advertising, pagsunod sa product safety at quality standards, pagkakaroon ng product warranties, standard marks, at Business Name Certificate. Sinuri rin kung ang presyo ng basic necessities at prime commodities ay naaayon sa Suggested Retail Price at kung nananatiling sapat ang suplay ng mga ito.
Bilang resulta ng operasyon, isang establisimyento ang inisyuhan ng Notice of Violation dahil sa hindi pagsunod sa Act No. 3883 o Business Name Law. Kasabay nito, nagsagawa rin ang DTI ng information and education campaign para sa mga may-ari at empleyado ng mga negosyo upang palawakin ang kaalaman sa consumer rights, product standards, at tamang pagsunod sa batas, na layuning makapagtaguyod ng patas, ligtas, at maaasahang pamilihan para sa publiko.

The DTI Isabela Provincial Office, through Negosyo Center Benito Soliven, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Benito Soliven, successfully launched its maiden โDTI Serbisyo Caravan: A Roadshow of DTI Programs, Activities, and Projects (PAPS) for Soliveniansโ on 26 May 2026, in Benito Soliven, Isabela โ a one-stop service caravan aimed at bringing various business development programs and government services closer to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), aspiring entrepreneurs, and business owners in the municipality.
The activity gathered MSMEs, aspiring entrepreneurs, and business establishments (BEs) to access entrepreneurial development services and business assistance programs designed to strengthen the municipalityโs growing local enterprise sector.
During the acknowledgment of participants, Chairperson of the Committee on Trade, Commerce, and Industry, Ma. Kristina Apple Quesada emphasized that the participants are the very heart and reason behind the activity, recognizing their invaluable contributions to driving economic activity and local business growth within the municipality.
In his opening remarks, Municipal Mayor John Paul S. Azur expressed his appreciation to local MSMEs and business enterprises for their significant contributions to the municipalityโs economic growth. He also highlighted the promising potential of Benito Solivenโs banana fiber industry and locally made products, while sharing upcoming initiatives such as the launching of a Pasalubong Center this June to further expand market opportunities for local entrepreneurs. The mayor likewise emphasized that the DTI Serbisyo Caravan is only the beginning, with more runs of the activity set to be conducted across the municipality to continuously empower local businesses.
In his message of support, Acting Provincial Director Cyrus I. Restauro expressed his appreciation to the Local Government Unit of Benito Soliven, particularly Mayor John Paul S. Azur, for its strong support to initiatives that empower MSMEs and strengthen the local business sector. He also recognized the municipality as an active partner of the agency and emphasized the importance of collaboration between local government units and national agencies in fostering inclusive economic growth.
The caravan featured a series of learning sessions and business development interventions facilitated by DTI personnel and partner agencies. Ms. Sarah M. Mendoza, Negosyo Center Business Counselor of Benito Soliven, provided an overview of the program and discussed DTI Programs, Activities, Projects, and Services (PAPS). Ms. Josa Beth M. Salvador, Trade-Industry Development Specialist (TIDS), presented opportunities under the Coconut Farmers Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) and Shared Service Facility (SSF) Program.
Training on product packaging and labeling was conducted by Ms. Mary Rose M. Dumpit, Senior Trade-Industry Development Specialist (STIDS), while marketing strategies and techniques were discussed by STIDS Ms. Maria Corazon C. Mamuri. Business Education and Information sessions were also facilitated by TIDS Mr. Mel Mari Angelo P. Laciste.
Participants were likewise introduced to SB Corporation loan programs and financing opportunities through loan facilitation and account creation assistance led by Negosyo Center-Trade Industry Development Analyst of Cauayan City, Ms. Novelyn G. Eder.
Participants actively engaged in discussions and consultations while availing themselves of various business services, including Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) registration, PhilGEPS registration assistance, product development consultations, loan facilitation, and account creation assistance.
The successful conduct of the caravan was made possible through the support of the BPLO personnel led by BPLO Designate Mr. Robert M. Esteban. Concluding the event, Mr. Rusty A. Etrata thanked the participants for their active participation and support, officially wrapping up the successful conduct of the first-ever DTI Serbisyo Caravan in Benito Soliven.
Through this initiative, DTI Isabela and the Local Government Unit of Benito Soliven reaffirm their commitment to continuously strengthen local enterprises by bringing accessible business development programs and services closer to Solivenian entrepreneurs.

The Department of Trade and Industry - Isabela Provincial Office successfully conducted its Open Government Week celebration, reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen-centered public service.
Anchored on the principles of open governance, the celebration aims to strengthen public trust and encourage active collaboration between government agencies, stakeholders, and the community. The observance is in line with Memorandum Circular No. 119 directing all government agencies to actively support and participate in Open Government Week activities from May 18 to 21, 2026.
Through this participation, DTI Isabela reflects the agencyโs dedication to delivering efficient, transparent, and accountable public service towards a more empowered and informed citizenry.

The Department of Trade and Industry Region 02 (DTI R2) and the DTI R2 Isabela Provincial Office met with members of Congress representing the six legislative districts of Isabela, led by House Speaker Faustino โBojieโ Dy III, together with representatives from the LPG Marketers Association (LPGMA) Party-list, to discuss the agencyโs priority programs and development initiatives for the province.
During the engagement, DTI R2 Regional Director Ma. Sofia G. Narag and Acting Provincial Director Atty. Cyrus I. Restauro presented the agencyโs continuing efforts to strengthen micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs); expand livelihood and enterprise development opportunities; enhance Shared Service Facility (SSF) projects; and intensify consumer protection initiatives across Isabela.
DTI R2 reaffirmed its commitment to fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth through strengthened collaboration with legislative partners and stakeholders in support of the provinceโs development agenda.
