𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 1

PRMSU ROTCU conducted its 1st Training Day on 19 September 2026 at President Ramon Magsaysay State University, under the supervision of the ROTCU Commandant, Cpt Mark Kevin L Ricardo PA (Res)

The training was attended by the PRMSU Advance Cadet Officers and was guided by Sgt Lloyd Ahren C Posadas (OS) PA, Admin NCO, and Ssg Aldwin E Dizon PA (Res), Training Staff.

As part of the training, PFC Augustine Jeoff C Ocampo PA (Res), GMA Instructor, delivered a lecture on the Code of Citizenship, while Sgt Lloyd Ahren C Posadas (OS) PA, Admin NCO, discussed Military Customs and Traditions. The Advance Cadet Officers also provided instruction to the Basic ROTC Cadets on proper bearing, basic phasing, and basic drillings.

The training provided the cadets with essential knowledge and practical instructions aimed at strengthening military discipline, proper conduct, and the correct ex*****on of basic military movements.

The activity was successfully concluded at 1100H, marking the completion of the ROTCU‘s 1st Training Day.

The President Ramon Magsaysay State University ROTC Unit successfully conducted its Opening Ceremony of the ROTC Program for School Year 2026–2027 and Pinning of Ranks of Advance ROTC Cadets on 06 September 2026 at the PRMSU Iba Campus.

The ceremony was graced by University President Dr. Roy N. Villalobos, who delivered the Welcome Remarks and formally declared the opening of the ROTC Program. The activity was also attended by BGEN RICNON U CAROLASAN PA, Regiment Commander of the Combat Engineer Regiment, Philippine Army, who served as the keynote speaker and led the Pinning of Ranks alongside Dr. Villalobos.

The event also recognized the presence and leadership of COL VERGEL M. LAGUITAN SC (GSC) PA, CDC Director, and CPT MARK KEVIN L. RICARDO PA (RES), ROTC Commandant, whose guidance and supervision contributed to the successful conduct of the ceremony.

The Pinning of Ranks marked a significant milestone for the Advance ROTC Cadets as they formally assumed their respective ranks and responsibilities. More than a ceremony, it symbolizes their commitment to leadership, discipline, integrity, and service to the nation.

With the opening of another ROTC training year, may every cadet embrace the challenges ahead with courage, determination, and a strong sense of duty. May this journey continue to shape them into responsible leaders and future officers who embody the values of honor, duty, and service.

IBA, Zambales President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) President Dr. Roy N. Villalobos warmly welcomed BGEN RICNON U CAROLASAN PA, Guest of Honor, together with other Philippine Army Officials, during their visit to the University President’s Office at the PRMSU Main Campus on September 6, 2026.

The warm reception underscored the strong partnership and mutual support between PRMSU and the Philippine Army as they joined together for the ROTC Unit Opening Ceremony and Pinning of Ranks for School Year 2026–2027.

The event marked the beginning of another year of military training and leadership development for PRMSU ROTC cadets, fostering the values of discipline, patriotism, responsibility, leadership, and service to the nation.

On 31 August 2026, the President Ramon Magsaysay State University ROTC Unit joined the commemoration of the 119th birth anniversary of former President Ramon Magsaysay Sr. through a solemn flower offering at the Magsaysay Circle.

The ceremony served as a tribute to the life, leadership, and lasting legacy of one of the nation’s distinguished leaders. Flowers were offered at his statue as a symbol of remembrance and respect.

HONORING THE 119TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF PRESIDENT RAMON MAGSAYSAY

Today, August 31, we commemorate the 119th Birth Anniversary of President Ramon Magsaysay, the seventh President of the Republic of the Philippines and a leader remembered for his humility, integrity, and genuine dedication to the Filipino people.

President Magsaysay believed that true leadership is rooted in service. Throughout his life and public service, he demonstrated that a leader must remain close to the people, uphold their rights and welfare, and lead with honesty and compassion.

His legacy continues to inspire us, especially as members of the PRMSU ROTC Unit, to embody the values of discipline, patriotism, integrity, and selfless service. May his example remind us that leadership is not about seeking power or recognition, but about dedicating oneself to the service of others and the nation.
