| IN PHOTOS | The Guimaras State University ROTC Unit Conducts 14th Regular Instruction for 2nd Semester
Last 25 April 2026 The GSU ROTC Unit successfully carried out its 14th regular instruction, which officially started at 0730H. The morningโs activities opened with a prayer, followed by the mass singing of the Philippine National Anthem.
Immediately following the opening ceremonies, the cadets proceeded to their designated training areas. At 0800H, the Medics Team underwent specialized training under the professional supervision of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) - Buenavista. This session provided the team with essential life-saving skills and emergency response techniques, ensuring they are prepared to handle medical situations with precision and care.
Under the guidance of the training staff and ROTC officers, the rest of the unit focused on refining military drills and exercises designed to enhance discipline and physical readiness.
These activities remain vital in fostering teamwork and leadership within the corps.
The instruction concluded at 1130H with a final checking of attendance. This 14th session served as a significant opportunity for the cadets to broaden their skills while reinforcing their shared commitment and sense of responsibility to serve the nation.

Last 24 April 2026 The GSU ROTC Unit successfully conducted its 13th regular instruction, which officially started at 1400H.
Immediately upon assembly, the cadets proceeded to their designated platoons to continue practicing their drills. Under the direct supervision of the training staff and ROTC officers, the afternoon was dedicated to perfecting military movements, sharpening discipline, and enhancing the unit's overall coordination. These practical exercises remain a core component of the cadets' training, focusing on precision and the mastery of basic military maneuvers.
The instruction concluded at 1700H with a final checking of attendance. This 13th session served as a productive opportunity for the corps to refine their skills and strengthen the camaraderie and discipline essential to their development as future leaders.

Last 24 April 2026 The Guimaras State University ROTC Unit conducted its 12th regular instruction for the 2nd Semester at 0730H. The day began with the traditional morning assembly, where cadets gathered for a common prayer and the mass singing of the Philippine National Anthem. This opening ceremony served to ground the unit in its core values of faith and patriotism before the start of the day's rigorous activities.
Following the assembly, the cadets transitioned into intensive field training under the strict supervision of the ROTC officers and training staff. The session focused heavily on perfecting military maneuvers and tactical drills, emphasizing the importance of synchronized movement and sharp discipline. These exercises are meticulously designed to push the cadets' physical limits while fostering the high level of coordination and collective strength necessary for effective leadership within the unit.
The training concluded at 1130H with a final formation and a thorough checking of attendance to ensure accountability across all ranks. Last 23 April 2025 at 1300H, the cadets under Map Reading, Theory, and Basic Life Support gathered in their respective rooms for lectures to enhance their knowledge and learning. At 1500H, the remaining cadets practiced their ceremonial parade at the GSU grounds, showcasing discipline, teamwork, and the skills they have developed as sharp and snappy cadets.
At 1700H, attendance was checked, marking the end of the instruction. Under the supervision of the Commandant, training staff, and cadet officers, the 11th Regular Instruction was successfully conducted.

On 23 April 2026, the GSU ROTC Unit held its 11th regular instruction, commencing at 0730H. The activity opened with a prayer led by C/CPT Sandy Nove Roscales 2CL, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem performed by the ROTC Choir. Following the opening instruction by the ROTC commandant LTC Jose A Villasis PA (RES), then platoon leaders proceeded to check the cadetsโ attendance.
At 0800H, the cadets proceeded to the training grounds to execute a rigorous series of practical exercises. The session focused on perfecting their ceremonial parade and company drills, ensuring precision in movement and unit cohesion. Additionally, participants rotated through military stakes, where they were tested on map reading and theoretical knowledge. Under the supervision of cadet officers and training staff, these activities were meticulously designed to sharpen the cadetsโ discipline, technical coordination, and overall physical preparedness.
Following the final attendance verification at 1130H, the instruction drew to a meaningful close. The dayโs efforts resulted in a distinguished performance by the unit, bridging the gap between theory and discipline. It served as a powerful reminder of their shared purpose, leaving the cadets with a strengthened bond and a deeper, more personal resolve to serve the country with honor.
