Etiquette of Intentions

- what are the two conditions for an ibaadah (act of worship) to be accepted?
- indeed actions are based according on the intention.
- indeed Allah does not look on your appearance nor your wealth, rather He looks on your heart (intention) and deeds (actions).
- whoever marries a woman without the intention of giving / paying the dowry indeed he is committing adultery
- whoever borrows money without the intention of returning / paying the money indeed he is committing theft
- jealousy is permitted if the intention is correct
Ex:
1. You are jealous to your brother because he has knowledge in islam which he used to spread the teachings of islam, and you intended if you have the same knowledge is you would do the same way.
2. You are jealous to your brother because he has wealth in which he used to help the needy, and you intended if you have the same wealth is you would do the same way.

Manners of invocation / supplication

- invocation is an act of worship
- always ask Allah for all we need, indeed, prayer can change your destiny
- it is a sunnah to perform good deeds such as salah, zakah or fasting before supplicating to Allah.
- it is a sunnah to face the Qiblah everytime you make the supplication.
- it is a sunnah to raise the hands while supplicating in salaatul istisqa and qunut
- supplicating after the obligatory prayer is an act of bid'ah.
- it is a sunnah to supplicate to Allah which will be beneficial.
- it is a sunnah to supplicate to Allah while praying as long as the last part of tashahhud has been said and before the taslim
- the best time for supplication is every last part of the nigth, while prostrating, between the Adhan and Iqamah, Day of Friday, a fasting muslim, a traveller, an oppressed person, a prayer of the parent to his child, at times of disaster, whenever it rains, day of Arafah, everytine you ascend in the hill of safa or marwa, the day of jamaraat
- supplication to the dead is HARAM and considered as Shirk.
- it is not allowed for us to supplicate to Allah for the forgiveness of sins of a Mushrik after he knew that he will abide in the Hellfire because of Shirk.

- perform the salah in standing position, sitting position, laying down on the right side or laying down straight poiting his feet to the qiblah

- conditions to be qualified as a traveller and allowed to shortened the prayer of Dhuhr, Asr and Isha.
1. The journey must be permissible / mubah and not haram such as visiting the grave, vacation to commit sins etc.

- do not hate each other, do not envy one another and do not cut ties of kinship.
- it is forbidden in islam to to give your brother a nickname which he/she hates after embracing Islam.
