‎On June 12, the Philippines marks its 128th Independence Day, a reminder of a freedom won through sacrifice and carried across generations. From the raising of the flag in Kawit to the lives we lead today, the story of independence began with those who fought for the nation and continues in the choices of every Filipino.

‎Today, the flag rises once more against the June sky. Its colors remain unchanged, yet its meaning remains to grow each year. As the country marks another year of independence, the memory of 1898 remains present, a continuing reminder of the freedom carried forward by every Filipino today.

‎𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Guagua National Colleges, Inc. held a Parents' and Students' Orientation for the Junior High School Regular Department at Tanjangco Hall on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Faculty members and staff welcomed students and parents, providing an introduction to the school environment and its academic community.

‎The orientation covered campus policies, academic procedures, student services, and school activities. The program aimed to familiarize students and parents with the institution's guidelines and expectations as they begin the new academic year.

‎𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Guagua National Colleges, Inc. kicked off the first day of classes with a booth fair at its covered courts. Various campus organizations showcased their programs and activities, creating a welcoming atmosphere for students.

‎The event set a lively tone for the first day of classes as students moved from booth to booth, enjoying the activities and reconnecting with campus life in a festive and engaging start to the school year.

Today, The Mirror proudly celebrates its very own adviser, Julius Carlos for reaching another remarkable milestone as he earns his Master of Arts in Education (MAEd).

‎He has long been the steady hand behind the paper, sharpening young writers with patience and heart. Like iron sharpening iron, his passion for teaching continues to hone not only skills, but purpose within every student journalist fortunate enough to learn from him. 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡 | Pampanga's own Allyson Hetland has officially been crowned Miss Supranational Philippines 2027, earning the right to represent the country on the international stage. The title was awarded during a special coronation ceremony held under The Miss Philippines organization following the conclusion of the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 season.

‎From reminding us not to forget our lunch to staying awake long after everyone has gone to sleep, mothers have mastered the art of doing everything and being everywhere all at once. Celebrated every second Sunday of May, Mother's Day is a chance to acknowledge the women whose nurturing and quiet sacrifices keep families moving. It is found in familiar comforts—warm meals after long days, reminders repeated out of concern, and quiet acts of love that slowly become the feeling of home.

‎While the phrase "mother is mother-ing" might sound playful, it reflects a reality that is familiar to many. In many households, motherhood takes different forms. Some mothers work long hours to provide for their families, while others manage homes or take on both responsibilities at once. This Mother's Day serves as a reminder to honor the unwavering care of those who continue to "mother" every single day.
