The training focused on strengthening cadets’ understanding of their rights, responsibilities, and respectful conduct through discussions on 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟗𝟐𝟔𝟐 (𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟒), 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐎𝐆𝐈𝐄 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥, 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐒𝐔-𝐁𝐎𝐑 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨. 𝟓𝟗, 𝐬. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏𝟎𝟏𝟕𝟓 (𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟐), 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏𝟏𝟑𝟏𝟑 (𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐭).

The discussions emphasized the protection of women and children, safe and inclusive spaces, responsible use of technology and social media, and respect for individual identity, dignity, and differences, while promoting an environment 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐞.

To reinforce the lessons, cadets completed the given worksheets which are connected to the discussed principles and to their responsibilities as ROTC cadets and members of the community.

Meanwhile, the Paraders, Band, and Majorettes continued intensive practice in 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐩𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 16𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞, demonstrating discipline, coordination, and dedication in representing the University.

Overall, the training highlighted that ROTC development extends beyond military preparation by fostering cadets who are knowledgeable of their rights, accountable for their actions, respectful of others, and committed to responsible citizenship.

Having a goal in life is only just the beginning—it must involve focus, passion, and commitment to move forward even when things get difficult. Discipline is what makes 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞. Just like a bridge that connects separate places, discipline acts as the path between where we are today and what we want to be in the future.

Similarly, ROTC shows that goals are not achieved in just a single day. It involves the training and responsibilities we carry as cadets. By following commands, staying focused on our duties, and facing challenges with courage and determination, we develop not only the values of being responsible members of the community but also ourselves as we work toward reaching the goals we want.

Partido State University Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ParSU ROTC) successfully conducted its 4th training from 0730 to 1100 last September 5, 2026.

On 0730, the cadets were instructed to go to their respective compositions immediately after the flag raising ceremony to start the discussion regarding the Legal Basis of National Service Training Program (NSTP) on College of Business and Management (CBM) Building and ParSU Oval.

The discussion was intended to highlight the importance of implementing NSTP such as Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC), Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and Literacy Training Service (LTS) under 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟗𝟏𝟔𝟑 or 𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟏, which emphasized the significance of teaching the youth to practice their readiness in case of emergency. Also, it stressed the Universal Principles of Human Rights and the right way of treating the Philippine National Flag.

Simultaneously, the Paraders, Bands, and Majorettes continued their practice in preparation for the upcoming Peñafrancia Military Parade.

As the activity concluded, students were enlightened that NSTP is a crucial part of their college and plays a big role to society when it comes to defense.

Bridging cultures, honoring heroes, and strengthening unity, the National Service Training Program (NSTP) successfully conducted the 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐬: 𝐀𝐧 𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞, with the theme, “𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫: 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐦,” on August 29, 2026, at the ParSU Grounds, Goa, Camarines Sur. The celebration brought students together to showcase the richness of ASEAN cultures while honoring the courage, sacrifice, and service embodied by Filipino heroes.

The activity gathered students from the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS), and Literacy Training Service (LTS), fostering cultural appreciation, unity, patriotism, and a deeper understanding of national identity. Through the event, participants were encouraged to recognize the richness of Southeast Asian traditions while honoring the enduring values embodied by Filipino heroes.

The program formally commenced with the welcome remarks delivered by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐓. 𝐀𝐧𝐠, LTS Instructor, who emphasized the significance of cultural awareness and solidarity among ASEAN nations.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞, where students proudly showcased their assigned ASEAN countries and Filipino heritage through colorful, culturally inspired attire. The participants demonstrated creativity and appreciation for the diverse traditions, customs, and identities that unite the ASEAN community despite their differences.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐀𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝐆. 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐨, NSTP Director, formally introduced the guest speaker for the National Heroes Day commemoration. The event also featured an inspirational message from 𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐥 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐂. 𝐏𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐨, Director of the Gender and Development Office, who highlighted the importance of cultural appreciation, unity, and service in shaping a stronger future.

“𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚,” Dr. Pesino emphasized.

Also present during the event were the NSTP Coordinators and Implementers, namely 𝐌𝐫. 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐨, LTS Coordinator; 𝐌𝐬. 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐌. 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥, CWTS Coordinator; 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐲 𝐑𝐨𝐞𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐚, ROTC Coordinator; and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞, CWTS Instructor, whose presence and support contributed to the successful conduct of the activity.

As part of the National Heroes Day commemoration, 𝟏𝐋𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐙 𝐂 𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐒 (𝐈𝐍𝐅) 𝐏𝐀, Assistant Commandant, delivered a meaningful discussion on the sacrifices, courage, and contributions of Filipino heroes. He encouraged students to embody patriotism, responsibility, and service in their daily lives and reminded them that heroism can be expressed through acts of dedication and commitment to the community.

Anchored in the spirit of unity and heroism, the ASEAN Colors and Heroes Cultural and Heritage Parade reaffirmed Partido State University’s commitment to promoting cultural awareness, strengthening national identity, and nurturing socially responsible citizens who value diversity, cooperation, and service to the community.
