Emerging from decades of Indigenous activism and scholarship, is the scholarly home of that movement---the space within the academy where speak and write as scholars in their own right. It is an interdisciplinary field centered on the histories, worldviews, and self-determination of Indigenous peoples, engaging the living knowledge systems they continue to shape on their own terms. The field carries particular urgency, driven by Indigenous Cultural Communities and Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) and the allies who work alongside them.

The invites you to "Locating Indigenous Studies in the Philippines today: scope, meaning, method" --- an evening of asking what the field includes, what it means, and how it is done, from where we stand.
