💡𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐈𝐃 𝐓𝐈𝐏 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐋 𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇.

1. 𝐖𝐀𝐒𝐇:
💡Immediately wash the wound with soap and running water for 10-15 minutes.
✅Washing the wound flushes out bacteria and viruses, reducing the risk of infection.
✅After washing, apply an antiseptic (like betadine) if available.

2. 𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐈𝐃:
💡Skip folk remedies. Avoid putting garlic, stone and other procedures like tandok, that may contaminate the wound.

3. 𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆:
💡It may worsen or it can bruise the tissue and potentially increases the risk of infection (pushing the bacteria deeper into the wound).
💡If already bleeding, apply clean cloth or bandage to stop bleeding.
💉Avoid closing deep wounds with tape/stitches unless advised by a doctor.

4. 𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄:
💡If possible, Quarantine & observe the responsible animal for 14 days from time of bite or scratch.
✅Report any unusual behavior of the animal to your healthcare provider.
✅Do not hurt healthy animals.

5. 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐕𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃:
💡Seek medical attention.
Get your initial Anti-Rabies & Tetanus shot within 24 hours from time of bite.
💡Anti-Rabies vaccination is only effective during incubation period.
💡Complete the full course of Anti-rabies shot.

𝓦𝓱𝔂 𝓖𝓮𝓽 𝓥𝓪𝓬𝓬𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓽𝓮𝓭?
Animal bite & scratch can transmit Rabies & Tetanus.
1. 𝐑𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:
💡Rabies attacks the nervous system & is almost 100% FATAL once clinical symptoms appear causing severe brain inflammation (encephalitis) and death.

2. 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:
💡Animal bite & scratch can lead to bacterial infections (like cat scratch disease & tetanus)
