A Play Space for Curious Minds, Where Play Paves the Way to School Days!

This is where learning begins.
In the simple act of digging, pouring, and mixing, children are doing more than play—they are questioning, testing, imagining, and making sense of their world. Here, curiosity leads every experience.
Inspired by both Reggio Emilia and Anji Play, we see children as capable, creative thinkers. The environment invites exploration, while real play allows them to take the lead—freely, confidently, and meaningfully.
Research in early childhood education consistently shows that before children become strong readers, they need strong foundations: language, social skills, focus, and problem-solving. In countries like Denmark and Japan, early years are centered on play and exploration, with reading introduced gently over time—and children go on to become highly capable learners.
In our program, reading is present, thoughtfully and intentionally—but it is not the core.
Because before children read words,
they learn to read their world.
And when curiosity is nurtured, learning doesn’t just happen—it lasts.

This child didn’t just build a structure—she built a story.
On the table, she made what she called an abandoned building from 1977. But in her mind, it was not empty. It had stories, people, and secrets in every corner. As she placed each wooden block, she shared what was happening in her world.
Then her story went even farther. She talked about the Sentinelese from North Sentinel Island—a place she imagined as far away, protected, and full of mystery. And that’s where I learned about the Sentinelese too—through her ideas and her storytelling.
Each block had a purpose. The tall towers became guards, the bridges connected places, and the small spaces became rooms with stories. What looks like a simple structure is actually full of thinking and imagination.
This is the power of play. It is not just playing. It is learning, creating, and understanding the world in her own way.

When children play together, knowledge is co-constructed. Their soda stand becomes a space where ideas, language, and learning grow between them.

During term break, teachers engage in meaningful behind-the-scenes work that supports the children’s continuous growth and learning.
This includes writing student reports, preparing and organizing portfolios, planning for the upcoming term, and conducting evaluations and reflections. Portfolios are carefully curated to document each child’s progress—not only academically, but also socially, emotionally, and creatively. They help make learning visible by capturing milestones, growth, strengths, and areas for support.
Teachers also use this time to reflect on their practices—reviewing what strategies were effective, identifying areas for improvement, and thoughtfully planning experiences that will better meet the children’s needs in the next term.
While there are no classes during this period, it is a productive and intentional time dedicated to ensuring that learning remains purposeful, personalized, and aligned with each child’s development.

This is not just an airplane.
This is a four-year-old planning a trip, imagining the future, sequencing events, and telling a story—before she can fully write on her own.
Drawing is thinking made visible.
Through this piece of art, she organized her ideas, processed experiences, and expressed her excitement about going to the beach. She dictated her thoughts, and they were written down—showing her that her voice matters and that her ideas can live on paper.
This is why it is important to encourage this kind of activity.
When we give children time and space to draw, we are strengthening their language, confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills. We are telling them: Your ideas are important. Your thoughts deserve to be seen.
Drawing is not an extra.
It is early literacy.
It is self-expression.
It is brain development.
That little airplane is proof of a growing mind—and it grows even more when we choose to nurture it.

She built the track with careful hands and a focused heart. Piece by piece, she connected each curve, making sure everything fit just right. No instructions. No rush. Just imagination at work.
As her little cars rolled along the wooden rails, she sang softly to herself—creating her own soundtrack to the world she was building. Every hum, every lyric, every gentle push of a car was part of the story unfolding in her mind.
This is the magic of play.
It’s problem-solving.
It’s creativity.
It’s independence.
It’s joy.
When children build, sing, imagine, and explore all at once, they’re not “just playing.” They’re thinking. They’re designing. They’re expressing. They’re becoming.
And sometimes, the most beautiful learning moments sound like a little voice singing over the rhythm of rolling wheels. ✨

Play is the child’s work — and through it, they build the mind, the heart, and the confidence to shape their world.
