Training of ISAL Teachers on "Creative Teaching Method for 21st Century Learners and Lesson Plan Workshop"

The Local School Board (LSB) of Datu Paglas is currently administering the reading assessment test for selected Grade 3 students from 25 elementary schools at the Municipal Training Center.

The children eagerly took the exams, showcasing their learning progress and effort. After the assessment, they were treated to Jollibee meals through the generosity of Mayor Ibrahim Powers Paglas and Vice Mayor Abubakar Pendatun Paglas, who also serves as the Regional Education Chairman of Central Mindanao under the Synergeia Foundation.

This thoughtful gesture not only brought happiness to the students but also emphasized the strong support of the local leaders in strengthening education in the municipality.

CSO Conference 2025

The Municipality of Datu Paglas successfully held the Civil Society Organization (CSO) Conference 2025 on August 26, 2025 at the Yellow Training Center, Municipal Compound, Datu Paglas, Maguindanao Del Sur, through the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Ibrahim P. Paglas and very supportive Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Abubakar P. Paglas.

This event brought together our local officials and CSO representatives to strengthen participatory governance discuss the guidelines on CSO accreditation, highlight the importance of CSO involvement, and conduct workshops on the ways forward for stronger collaboration between the LGU and the community.

Together, we continue to build an inclusive and sustainable Datu Paglas.

On August 21, 2025, leaders from the provinces of Maguindanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Basilan, Zamboanga del Sur, Lanao del Sur, Cotabato City, and Lanao del Norte gathered at the Synergeia Foundation, Inc. Local Chief Executive Workshop.

DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, a former Congressman, former Mayor, and significant personality in the Foundation, discussed education with the Local Chief Executives (LCEs) and explored possible measures for local governments and the Foundation to collaborate on sustainable solutions for the region.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Datu Abubakar Pendatun Paglas, Chairperson of the Regional Education Council for Central Mindanao, met with council officers (comprising LCEs from Maguindanao del Norte, Cotabato City, and Maguindanao del Sur) to discuss future actions. The council's goal is to ensure no child is left behind, as education is a top priority program, recognizing that children are the future.
