This relevant and significant activity is an initiative of the 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 of the 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗕𝗨-𝗜𝗣𝗘𝗦𝗥), in collaboration with 𝙎𝘼𝙂𝙀-𝙄𝙋𝙀𝙎𝙍 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧, 𝘽𝙐-𝙄𝙋𝙀𝙎𝙍 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙡, with the aim of complementing their professional preparation of our senior students as they shift from the academe to the real-world work setting.

Not only through informative sessions such as Etiquette and Social Graces and Gender in the Workplace, but through this journey, it is envisioned that students will be groomed with gender-sensitive values, respect, and understanding, which would remain in their arsenal as they move on into their professional lives.

𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 of the 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗕𝗨-𝗜𝗣𝗘𝗦𝗥) are 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐃 the seminar to gain a comprehensive understanding of etiquette and gender sensitivity as essential foundations for their future professional endeavors.

Ang Bawal Bastos Law (Safe Spaces Act, R.A. 11313) na inilathala noong 2019 ay nagpoprotekta sa lahat mula sa gender-based sexual harassment sa pampublikong espasyo, online, trabaho, at paaralan. Ito ay nagbibigay-diin sa pananagutan ng lahat para lumikha ng ligtas, may dignidad na kapaligiran para sa lahat, anuman ang kasarian o oryentasyong sekswal.

At ngayon, sa pinakaunang pagkakataon sa kasaysayan ng Bicol University, ang mismong unang may-akda at matibay na tagapagtaguyod ng Bawal Bastos Law, 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀, ang makikipag-usap sa atin! Ang kaganapan ay gaganapin noong Disyembre 11, 2025 sa BU College of Engineering Gymnasium (East Campus), kung saan ibabahagi niya ang kaalaman tungkol sa ating mga karapatan, responsibilidad, at paraan para tumindig laban sa panliligalig.

BUeños, sumali sa atin sa forum na ito! Maging kaisa sa hakbang patungo sa paglikha ng tunay na ligtas na espasyo para sa lahat!

On this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we honor the strength, resilience, and voice of survivors who are also persons with disabilities.

Ableism and gender-based violence often intersect in ways that silence and isolate survivors. Today, and every day, we call for spaces that are accessible, inclusive, and rooted in care and justice.

To end gender-based violence, we must also end ableism. Justice, healing, and liberation are only possible when we build a world where every body is treated with care, respect, and dignity.

This campaign reminds us that ending violence against women is not just a social responsibility; it is a moral duty. It requires our collective awareness, ongoing education, and compassionate action. Through our IPESR values, we promote integrity in relationships, professionalism in advocacy, excellence in program implementation, service to those in need, and respect for everyone’s dignity and rights.

Together, let us support a culture that uplifts women, challenges harmful norms, and encourages communities to take action. With unity, courage, and purpose, we work toward a violence-free Philippines.
