Matthew 9:9-13 narrates the calling of Matthew and Jesusโ defense of associating with sinners. After Jesus calls Matthew from his tax booth to follow Him, Matthew hosts a dinner for many tax collectors and "sinners," prompting criticism from the Pharisees. Jesus responds with the analogy that the sick need a doctor, not the healthy, and quotes Hosea to declare: โI desire mercy, and not sacrifice.โ He concludes by stating His mission is to call sinners to repentance, not those who consider themselves righteous.

Matthew 28:16-20, known as The Great Commission, records Jesusโ final instructions to the eleven disciples after his resurrection. The passage begins with the disciples traveling to a designated mountain in Galilee, where they saw him, worshiped him, but some doubted.
Jesus asserts that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to him, providing the basis for his command to make disciples of all nations. This mission involves baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded. The passage concludes with the promise that Jesus will be with his followers always, to the end of the age.

John 17:1-11 records a pivotal moment in the Gospel of John, often referred to as Jesusโ High Priestly Prayer. This passage captures Jesusโ final prayer with his disciples before his crucifixion, emphasizing themes of glory, eternal life, unity, and divine protection.
The Content of the Prayer
Jesus begins by praying for himself and his mission:
โFather, the hour has come; glorify your Son so that the Son may glorify youโ (v.1).
He affirms that he has completed the work given to him and now requests to be restored to the divine glory he shared with the Father before creation (v.5).
He then prays for his disciples:
They are described as those given to him by the Father from the world (v.6).
They have received and believed Jesusโ words, recognizing that he came from God (v.8).
Jesus explicitly states, โI am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given meโ (v.9), highlighting a special intercessory role for believers.
He asks the Father to protect them and to keep them united, echoing the unity between the Father and the Son:
โHoly Father, protect them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are oneโ (v.11).

Hulubaton 1:7-10 (Proverbs 1:7-10)
From the Ang Pulong Sang Dios (APD) translation emphasizes that true wisdom begins with reverence for God, while foolishness leads to rejection of correction. The text defines a buang-buang (fool) as someone who lacks knowledge of God and His commands, refusing to be corrected.
โ
โThe verses specifically state:
โ
โVerse 7: "Kon ang isa ka tawo gusto nga magmaalamon dapat magtahod siya sa GINOO. Ang tawo nga buang-buang indi gusto sang kaalam kag indi niya gusto nga matadlong ang iya pamatasan." (If a person wants to be wise, they must revere the LORD. The foolish person does not want wisdom and does not want their behavior corrected.)
โVerses 8-9: Children are instructed to listen to their parents' discipline, which serves as a "coronet of grace" and a "chain of honor."
โVerse 10: Children are warned not to follow the temptations of sinful people.

โ
โAs we near our graduation, the children spent their time rehearsing and preparing for their big day ๐ From energetic dance practices ๐๐บ, heartfelt singing ๐ถ, to confidently reviewing their parts and presentations, every moment was filled with excitement and dedication.
โ
โYou could see their bright smiles, but also feel a little sadness as our VCS journey is slowly coming to an end ๐ข๐ Along the way, theyโve built friendships, learned valuable lessons, and grown in confidence and faith.
โ
โOur hearts are full watching them shine and give their best ๐๐ We are so proud of you, kids! Letโs make our final day meaningful, memorable, and full of joy! ๐๐ซ
