Almost a year ago, I posted a hiring message here for people who wanted to be part of a new musical journey with me. Because of your overwhelming support and interest, I met so many wonderful people along the way and today, that journey has finally come to life. Thank you so much.

I would like to introduce you to Mei Mei

Introducing MEI MEI is more than just launching a girl group for me — it is something deeply personal and very close to my heart.

Ever since I can remember, music has always been my safe place. As an introvert, it became my way of expressing myself, sharing my happiness, showing my emotions, and finding peace whenever life felt overwhelming. That is why, 16 years ago, I started bringing K-pop shows to the Philippines, because I wanted to share that happiness and dream with as many people as possible. And through that journey, I found all of you.

Thank you for all the wonderful memories we’ve shared together.

Over the past few years, I went through many emotional highs and lows. There were moments when everything became so heavy that I slowly started losing parts of myself.

That’s why I stepped back and disconnected for a while. And somehow, through happy music, I found healing again.

The kind of music that makes you smile, dance, breathe, and remember that life can still be beautiful despite everything happening around us.

That feeling became MEI MEI.

MEI MEI was created to become a safe and happy space through music.

As an 8-member Filipino girl group, they represent different personalities, dreams, struggles, and stories — just like all of us. Their music is meant to become a small escape from the heaviness of everyday life, and a reminder that it’s okay to live in the moment, have fun, and choose joy while still respecting our culture and traditions.

They are not meant to feel distant or perfect. They are meant to feel relatable, like an extension of ourselves, our alter ego.

At its heart, MEI MEI is about respect, acceptance, happiness, hope, and creating music that quietly heals while making people smile and dance again.

I hope you’ll take the time to get to know MEI MEI and our story. And just as building MEI MEI helped heal me, I sincerely hope that, in one way or another, they can remind you that you are never alone, and maybe even bring happiness into your life too.
