𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐂 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐠 2026 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐄𝐏𝐓 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬

NISU Concepcion Campus celebrated the achievements of fifty-three (53) passers of the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) from September 2025 and March 2026 during the Pasidungog 2026 and Testimonial Dinner on May 22, 2026, held at the university gymnasium.

Despite only 43 attendees participating in the program, the institution acknowledged the accomplishments of all passers from the College of Education (COED).

A highlight of the evening was the sharing of testimonies from the passers, particularly from Mr. Jerald P. Loyola, a BEED program graduate who achieved an impressive average rating of 92.80, ranking him as one of the Top 10 passers.

Loyola reflected on his journey, stating, "I overthink a lot after the exam. I had a lot of what ifs in mind. I don't study everyday, but I pray a lot. Sakto gid siling nga madala pa ina sa pangamuyo. I passed the board exam, became the first top notcher of NISU Concepcion Campus. That's because I entrust everything to God. "

OIC Campus Administrator Mrs. Glaiza B. Alerta expressed her gratitude to all attendees, emphasizing that the license symbolizes capabilities, discipline, and purpose rather than just a title.

Dr. Gilda E. Deguma, Vice President for Academic Affairs, conveyed an important message through Dr. Maria Christina Ortiz, reminding everyone of the greater responsibility that comes with passing the LET. "The world needs teachers who are not only intelligent but also compassionate, innovative, resilient, and committed to instilling vital life qualities."

Dr. Ma. Xerxa Doan P. Billones-Franco, COED Dean, acknowledged the dedication of faculty and staff in providing quality education that led to the students' success. Her message, delivered by BEED Chairperson Dr. Maria Carol M. Abenir, thanked the program chairpersons for their tireless work in preparing students for the Licensure Examination for Teachers.

Additionally, former NISUCC Campus Administrator, now NISU Victorino Campus Administrator, Dr. Joey S. De la Cruz, extended his congratulations to the passers and shared his vision for producing more quality graduates and LEPT passers in the future.

The event, which was witnessed by COED graduating students, faculty and key officials, concluded with a celebratory dinner.

Concepcion, Iloilo May 18, 2026 — The Northern Iloilo State University Concepcion Campus (NISUCC) honored its top researchers during the 1st NISU Concepcion WARAGWAGAN: A Research In-House Review, held on May 15, 2026.

Dr. Romnick T. Sancada was awarded for the best proposal, while Dr. Donabel V. Palorma received recognition as the best presenter. Additionally, Inst. Grieco C. Gutierrez was celebrated for the best completed research.

Themed "Synergy in Inquiry: Bridging Disciplines for Innovation, Social Change and Sustainable Development," the event aimed to inspire collaboration and innovation among faculty.

Under the guidance of Vice President for Research and Extension, Dr. Larry B. Deysolong, and the oversight of University Research Director Dr. Felipe P. Vista, IV, together with NISU CC Research Director Dr. Robin P. Escriba with the support of OIC Campus Administrator Mrs. Glaiza B. Alerta, the review served as a dynamic platform for academic exchange.

Twelve (12) faculty researchers showcased their proposed and completed research, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary approaches to address societal challenges.

Expert panelists, including Dr. Ma. Ivy V. Agreda from NISU Barotac Viejo Campus and Dr. Hene L. Hapinat from NISU Batad Campus, provided valuable insights and feedback.

During the awarding, Mrs. Alerta announced plans for a second WARAGWAGAN for 2027. "So for faculty with research, you may now start preparing for the next WARAGWAGAN," she said.
