This afternoon, the Junior Youth Public Officials โ Batch Charlie 2026 conducted a mock session as part of their learning and leadership activities.
The JYPOCs were divided into five groups, with each group tasked to craft a resolution and present it during the session, following the process of an actual Sangguniang Bayan session.
The mock session was presided over by the Junior Municipal Mayor, Louis Eadric Ramos, who guided the proceedings as the groups presented and discussed their proposed resolutions.
Through this activity, they were given an opportunity to experience how local legislative sessions are conducted, from preparing a resolution to presenting and discussing it before the body.
It was a practical exercise in leadership, public speaking, teamwork, and understanding the responsibilities involved in local governance.

The newly elected Junior Youth Public Officials (JYPO) officially began their weeklong leadership immersion on Monday, August 10, 2026, navigating a jam-packed schedule of official ceremonies, legislative observation, and executive courtesy visits.
The day opened with a devotional session, setting a reflective tone before the youth delegates joined provincial government employees for the regular Flag Raising Ceremony and Convocation. A pivotal moment of the morning was the Sashing Ceremony, where the 44 delegates received official recognition in their designated roles at the Capitol Lobby. Following the ceremony, participants underwent a quick photo session for the issuance of their ARTA-like identification cards.
Prioritizing holistic well-being alongside governance, the delegates then proceeded to Bahay Katutubo for a mental health assessment administered by Ms. Gelyn Resano, RPm.
On the other hand, the afternoon brought direct engagement with the province's highest leadership. The junior counterparts paid a courtesy visit to the Office of Provincial Governor Hon. Raul G. Mabanglo, gaining direct insights into executive administration. They subsequently attended the 58th Regular Session of the 10th Sangguniang Panlalawigan to observe local legislative procedures firsthand, followed by a visit to the Office of Provincial Vice Governor Hon. Dorothy P. Montejo-Gonzaga.
Designed as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Day 1 provided the 44 young leaders with an immersive, comprehensive look into the day-to-day responsibilities of provincial public service.

The Day 0 of the Junior Youth Public Officials (JYPO) Week 2026 successfully drew to a close afternoon following a series of dynamic team-building activities and the official election of junior counterpart positions at the Capitol Lobby.
After an engaging morning centered on ethics, public service standards, and inspirational messages, the young leaders transitioned into interactive workshops aimed at strengthening teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. The exercises prepared the delegates for the collaborative work required in public administration.
The highlight of the afternoon was the election process, where participants selected their representatives for various provincial government offices. By the end of the session, the official lineup of Junior Counterpart Officials was determined, assigning each delegate to their corresponding executive and legislative mentors within the provincial government.
With their roles formally elected, the junior officials are now set to begin their full immersion, stepping into office alongside Davao de Oroโs provincial leaders for a week dedicated to hands-on governance and active youth participation.

The Junior Youth Public Officials (JYPO) Week officially kicked off today, August 9, 2026, at the Capitol Lobby, bringing together a new cohort of young leaders for an intensive week of governance and civic leadership.
Facilitated by the staff of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) โ Youth Development Division, Day 0 serves as a vital preparatory phase to equip the junior officials before they step into their assigned roles.
The event was graced by the President of the Panlalawigang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan, Hon. Noriel John P. Ramacula, LCB, MMPA, who delivered a message of thanks, inspiration, and encouragement to the participants as they embarked on their leadership journey.
A major highlight of the morning was a seminar-orientation on Republic Act No. 6713, also known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees. Because these young individuals will temporarily hold government positions as junior counterparts to elected and appointed provincial officials, the session emphasized accountability, integrity, and ethical public service.
Later today, the delegates will participate in team-building activities designed to build camaraderie and foster collaboration. The afternoon will also feature the election of junior officials to their specific government positions, determining their executive and legislative roles for the upcoming week.
The weeklong immersion program aims to promote youth empowerment, active civic participation, and good governance by providing delegates with direct, hands-on experience in provincial operations.
