On June 18, 2026, at exactly 9:00 am, Sta. Maria Integrated School actively participated in the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) as part of the government's continuing efforts to promote disaster preparedness and strengthen the culture of safety among learners, teachers, and school personnel.

Prior to the conduct of the drill, participants were oriented on the proper earthquake response procedures and safety protocols. At the sound of the alarm, learners, teachers, and non-teaching personnel immediately performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique and calmly proceeded to their designated evacuation areas after the simulated shaking stopped.

The successful conduct of the drill demonstrated the school's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of every member of the school community. Through activities like this, learners are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond appropriately during emergencies and disasters.

Sta. Maria Integrated School remains steadfast in its mission to foster preparedness, resilience, and awareness, recognizing that disaster readiness is a shared responsibility. By practicing emergency procedures regularly, we help create a safer environment where everyone is empowered to act quickly and responsibly when faced with unexpected situations.

Despite the unexpected earthquake (linog) that challenged our first day, we remained strong, calm, and resilient.

Today was not just about starting a new school year—it was also about learning the importance of courage, preparedness, and unity.

Sta. Maria Integrated School warmly welcomed the visit of our Principal-in-Charge, Sir Nick B. Jamisola, as he conducted monitoring and inspection to ensure the readiness of the school for the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027. His visit reflects his commitment and dedication in making sure that the school environment, learning facilities, and academic preparations are well-organized and ready to provide quality education for all learners.

During his visit, Sir Nick B. Jamisola carefully checked the preparedness of the teachers, classrooms, and other school operations. He also reviewed and signed the class programs of the teachers as part of the school’s preparation for the smooth and effective implementation of classes this coming school year.

The Sta. Maria Integrated School teaching and non-teaching personnel are grateful for his guidance, support, and leadership in ensuring that the school is fully prepared to welcome learners for another productive and successful academic year.
