LOOK | CCS Seniors Unveil Innovative Tech Projects in Campus Exhibit

Fourth-year students from the College of Computer Studies recently showcased their talent and credibility through the presentation of their innovative inventions. The event highlighted the students’ hard work, creativity, and technical skills as they introduced various technology-driven projects designed to address real-world problems. Faculty members, fellow students, and guests witnessed how the graduating students applied the knowledge and skills they acquired throughout their academic journey to develop functional and practical solutions.

The exhibition served not only as a platform for the students to present their inventions but also as a testament to their dedication and readiness to contribute to the field of technology. Students from different colleges are also invited to visit the exhibit, check the projects, and ask the presenters about their work and innovations.

The exhibit is located at the upper ground floor and is open from morning until 5 p.m. in the afternoon today. Giving more students the opportunity to explore and learn from the projects presented by the graduating computer science students.

Being a woman is not just a title you can easily claim—it is an art etched into our souls, woven deep in the depths of our being.

Not so long ago, our voices were kept like treasures hidden in chests, locked away. We were believed enslaved under the shelter of our homes, thinking we couldn't be more than what they expected.

Then came a new revolution of women who didn't just turn the table upside-down—they shattered it to splinters. Ancient stereotypes crumbled under their heels, perspectives of men and women alike upended in a world too long blind to our blaze.

Women are the sugar dissolving sweet in bitter coffee, the vivid paint breathing life into blank canvas, the pulse in a song's silent spaces. We are more than sunshine's warmth—we are moonlight piercing the fade of lamps, stars igniting when the world dims to despair.

Let us take a moment to reflect on how women bring color to our tintless lives and heartbeats to our lifeless world.

We are not "just" women. We are WOMEN.

🏆 Asianista Games 2026: Epic Kickoff Unleashed! 🔥

Our much anticipated intramurals is here! Asian College of Technology kicked off Asianista Games 2026 yesterday, February 25, 2026 starting with the lively parade from Plaza Independencia to ACT Cyber Tower 1!

We have our Cyber Knights from the College of Computer Studies raising the Green banner. Next in line are the Masters from College of Arts, Science and Pedagogy in collaboration with the College of Criminal Justice Education waving the bright Yellow flag. After the Masters, here come our roaring Tycoons from the College of Business and Management reflecting the hues of Blue. Lastly, we have our Wizards from the College of Nursing igniting the power and heat of color Red.

The opening ceremony brought school spirit soaring from the welcome remarks of our very own School President Mr. BG L. Abellanosa to torch lighting, and down to the introduction of Mr. and Ms. Asianista Games 2026 candidates. Asianistas kept the energy high with BINGO games followed by field demonstrations, celebrating unity and fostering a spirit of camaraderie.

Here's to an epic days of sweat, cheers, and unbreakable Asianista pride! 🏆

As we celebrate today the Chinese New Year 2026 ushers in the Year of the Horse—a symbol of energy, resilience, and forward momentum in the Chinese zodiac. Across the Philippines, communities prepare to welcome prosperity and fresh beginnings. And in the heart of the Visayas, Cebu City proves that you don’t need a Chinatown to celebrate in grand style.

Have you ever wonder why Cebu doesn’t have a Chinatown? Did you happen to ask old Cebuanos about it? The stories about how Chinese people settle in Cebu?
Unlike Manila, home to the historic Binondo—the world’s oldest Chinatown—Cebu stands out for a different reason: it doesn’t have an official Chinatown district. Yet, the absence of a designated enclave has never dulled the vibrant spirit of its Filipino-Chinese community.

Cebu’s connection to Chinese culture dates back centuries, long before colonial eras reshaped the islands. Trade between Chinese merchants and local communities thrived even before Spanish arrival. Over time, Chinese settlers became part of Cebu’s commercial backbone, influencing cuisine, entrepreneurship, and family traditions.

Instead, the celebration spills organically across the city. Malls glow in auspicious red and gold. Lion and dragon dances weave through business districts. Restaurants serve tikoy and longevity noodles to families eager to share in traditions that have been passed down for generations. The festivities feel less confined and more integrated—woven into the everyday rhythm of Cebuano life.

The Year of the Horse symbolizes ambition, movement, and bold progress—an apt metaphor for Cebu itself. Known as the “Queen City of the South,” Cebu continues to gallop forward economically and culturally. The 2026 celebration becomes more than a nod to heritage; it reflects a shared optimism for growth.
