We decided it was time to step away from the terminal and finally touch some grass. So, we did what any sane group of devs would do: we met up at 5:00 AM last Sunday, April 12, to trek the trail from Budlaan to Busay.

As it turns out, the "Great Outdoors" has surprisingly high-resolution graphics, though our frame rate definitely started dropping on those high-sloped trails. 🧗‍♂️💦

Post-Hike Debugging Report:

Start Time: 05:00 AM. (A time we usually only see if we’re pulling an all-nighter, not waking up.) 😴

The Route: Budlaan Falls ➡️ Busay Holiday Pools.

The Errors: Multiple 404s (we had some severe Leg.exe lag on the uphill sections).

The Bugs: Mostly the flying kind. No patches or hotfixes available. 🦟

Current Status: System Recovery Mode. 🛠️
The hike is over, but the muscle soreness is very much "Live in Production." We are currently experiencing significant latency in our walking speed and our calves are basically stuck in a `while(true)` loop of pain.

We might be back to coding soon, but for now, we’re recovering from the "physical deployment" with heavy-duty hydration and a very long nap. 10/10 would touch grass again (once we can walk normally). 🌿✨

Today, our Lead Learners gathered for the “From 77th to Tech Leaders: The AI Lead Learner Workshop” a space to inspire, enable, and empower the mentors who will guide the next generation of young innovators.

More than volunteers, they are leaders in the classroom: facilitating code camps, mentoring fellow volunteers, and representing DEVCON Kids with passion and purpose.

For introducing young learners to artificial intelligence with clarity and joy, guiding students from curiosity to creation through their first vibe-coded games and fostering confidence, creativity, and responsible learning foundations.

AI Agents are the next productivity multiplier, and you don't need to be a senior engineer to build one.

Watch our volunteer Tyrone, also an AI Ambassador at Lamatic.ai and Campus Organizer at Google Developer Groups on Campus - Cebu Technological University, as he will be the host for the event: "Automate Anything — Intro to AI Agents". This session is designed to take you from "curious" to "builder" in just 75 minutes.

By the end of this session, you will:
