RuralNet focuses on rural banks because they are the best way to reach the rural communities; they are stable financial and banking institutions in widespread areas, directing these rural districts across the country to be at the forefront of the Banking industry. Rural Banks are complete business organizations that are regulated and audited by government financial institutions like the Bangko Sental ng Pilipinas. Further, they also have ready clientele for consumer products as they each have an average of 10,000 depositors. The best way to reach the rural market is through Rural banks and for this year, RuralNet will focus its services in three areas: (1) Extension of government services; (2) collection and payment partner for service providers (will include remittance from OFWs, payroll, bills payment (mobile and ATM, etc) and (3) communication facility.
